I did a Rubies mod a while back and wanted to post this. Alot of people say it cannot be done to look good. I disagree. I think with the right amount of inginuity and resourcefullness, it can be done. I also think that the person must have the rigth physique to make it look realistic. This set up would not look well on a larger/overwieght person.
What I did was take all the rubber armor from the rubies costume and put a faux fur backing on it to make it sturdier and peiced the costume together as shown.
I am wearing black Under Armor, and I have a classis Pred mask, and the dreadlicks are actually from a RASTA hat that has the fake hair attached, which I painted with latex black paint.
Its not as good as what some of you guys do, but its pretty cheap. If I would have finished it, I think it would have looked really good for the cost.
