RS Props Lineage BOUSHH Helmet

Shouldn't we see exactly what a final version looks like and know what the signature will be before being asked to commit to paying that much money?

Feels very much like what happens with limited offerings in other communities these days (see: “Carryology” for an example, with bags/backpacks/other similar items.)

Short time between announcement (including price but excluding some of the important details and even images of the finished product,) scheduled time for preorders to start… it all has the side effect of creating some serious FOMO.

Maybe it’s true that the high cost and plan of waiting at least 6 months for shipment will help to limit “scalpers” from outside the collecting community from buying a bunch of these up, but I think they will always sell for more than this initial asking price, as high as it may seem. A quick peek at eBay sold items (RS Fett for $5000?) seems to reinforce that idea. For every five people who say “nope, it’s too much,” there’s probably one who can stomach this or can drop a few grand on something without much thought.

I hope this is available for a while and those who want one can get one, but my guess is they’ll be gone in an hour or less. Maybe much less.

I’m 99.99% sure the signee will be Nilo Rodis-Jamero. RS probably hasn’t made an official announcement because the plaques may not have been signed yet.
They mentioned in their video the other day it would be their most expensive signature. Nilo seems like a likely choice, but how expensive can some art director's signature be? I've seen a few people speculate it could be Billie Lourd.

I won’t say why I’m confident it’s Nilo, but it could very well be a double signature. That could raise the cost of the plaques.

Saw this in person at Celebration with the RS boys. They let my girlfriend wear it and she's going to try for one tomorrow.

I have FOMO bad on this piece.

But I have fear my car is going to die (it’s got 300,000 miles on it now), or more importantly my home AC crapping out before this summer is over.
So I’m sad that I’m needing to pass on this.

I wonder if Clothears has involvement with this? I know they made their own (I think?) several years back, but I kinda thought that they were handling the leather soft parts on the RS version- though I have no idea where I got that idea, so don’t quote me.

Not knowing who the sig is (and the fact that it won’t be Carrie, obviously), combined with the price (higher than any other single prop I already own, for something that is far from my favorite) means I’ll be watching, not buying.

This thing looks really awesome. I was really looking forward to getting this, but I can't do $2500 at this particular moment. Disappointed I'm going to miss out on this.

The original helmet has no edge nick and e.g. the visor is wider on the original than on the safety mold. But the RS mold and the safety mold match. So i think the RS mold is based on that one.
Can you show the visitor difference you’re seeing? The other nicks are from the molding process and not nessisarily in the sculpt.

They don’t have to be in the sculpt but these are the same nicks. What’s the chance that the same nick appear on two different molds?
Sorry about the confusion. I was not referring to the visor. I ment the slit with the green line.
While the original one is slightly curved the rs and safety mold one is pretty straight.

He’s doing a private signing in the very near future, he’s $60 per sig.

I would have no desire to display a Billie Lourd signature with this helmet.

With the speed at which these pieces are selling out recently, even at this price, I’m interested in seeing how fast these sell out. Before the price was released, I was guessing less than 5 minutes. Now that I know the price….. I’ll say less than 20 minutes.

I can understand all the work that has gone into it - and I have no doubt that they will sell all of them (and then we'll see them for sale on ebay for double), but £2k is a very steep price and sadly one that I cannot justify. When you think of all that goes into a boba helmet and they run at roughly half the price, it seems high!

The wait list is now live to secure your spot.

I find it odd they haven't revealed the design of the display stand or who the signature is, while asking people to start making payments. However they state that "In the unlikely event that any of the details as they unfold in the coming weeks do not meet your expectations your spot can be given up and a full refund will be sent. This is NOT a non refundable deposit. "

So that's good at least. Maybe it would have made more sense to hold off on opening up orders until everything was finalized, but at least this way it will be shipped out sooner.

Good luck to anyone still trying get one, rich *****.
