The ears are fastened, the dome is riveted to the back plate so it just pivots, nothing unscrews. How is it moving though if it’s currently fastened in place?
In shopping the box pushed it down, your just pushing it up.

Do you know if they offered a battle damaged version years ago? I’d love to see how they held upI got a HDPE box fresh from them in a limited run they did several years back So it could age naturally. After shipping, a little handling and display time it is cracking and flaking (which by the way I love) beautiful because it has “the look”. Everyone whose ordered is in for a treat.View attachment 1354405View attachment 1354406View attachment 1354407View attachment 1354408View attachment 1354409
Thanks for the reply would you mind posting pics of your battle worn one from years ago as it is now?Not sure, it was sort of done though emails I think, never on their site. Mine is looking more and more battle worn after 3-4 years so I guess they do deteriorate a little, particularly as I do like to handle it!
Hi quick question is the RS plaque on the Jim Dowdall white or aluminium, many thanksANH Screencaps
The below ANH sceencaps show quite a bit of variability in the distance from the tear to the ear. Most of them show a larger distance and the grey part of the ear is at an angle compared to the horizontal line of the crown. The vertical part of the ear is certainly at an angle.

Looks to me like there should be about 1.25 inch between the tear and ear. Some have a bigger gap, others have a smaller gap, so I guess it comes down to preference.
The grey part of the ear should be slanted. That appears to be pretty consistent.
RS Stunt TKs
Below are my RS stunt TKs. As you can see they vary in the angles and distances. The sandtrooper has much more vertical ears than the other two. I am going by the angle of the grey part of the ear compared to the horizontal lines on the top of the helmet. I guess it depends on who built each helmet. The Dowdall is the oldest. I ordered the ESB stunt and Sandtrooper in 2019.

Thanks so muchThe Jim Dowdall plaque is glossy white with the preprinted text printed in black. Some plaques for more recent products have flat white plaques with etched text.
I purchased one in Feb and was told that they are doing another batch this week and should be shipped out in about two weeks. All the pics look great just ordered the green helmet yesterday looking forward to it !
anyone order recently? What was the time frame for delivery?
Thanks in advance
Not yet, I sent Andrea an email last week and she said they are doing a batch now, so it should ship shortly. Next week will be 5 months since I ordered it. Hopefully yours will be in this batch as well.Mando233 did you get your green helmet yet? I’m 10 weeks out so far
There is a picture of Rob working on a HDPE helmet, so hopefully not much longer.Mando233 did you get your green helmet yet? I’m 10 weeks out so far
Mine will be here tomorrow, can't wait.Mando233 any news on yours ? Nothing yet on mine
You’re going to love it!Mine will be here tomorrow, can't wait.
Yes I did the same. Bit of pressure between two hands on the ears works a treat if you want to 'lighten the frown'.You’re going to love it!
Don’t be afraid to “squish“ it around a bit, to adjust the top cap & brow either. It’ll take it.
Same for me, & I completely agree......... I have 4 different RS stormies and this is my favorite.
