The stunt TK helmets were pretty shoddy looking before filming started. Quickly assembled, flaking paint, thickly applied paint with paint runs. Even on day 1 of filming these helmets would be considered unacceptably flawed by the prop collecting community, but because that is how they were at the time of filming, the flaws are desirable to some that want to replicate the prop.
With all of the complaints about finishing on the Anovos and efx Mando helmet, the desire for intentionally bad finishing on stunt TK helmets is amusing.
I understand the difference. I just find it amusing that internationally shoddy construction and finishing is desired. I know the originals were actually like that. One of these helmets will need to be really bad to be considered to have defects. The expectation for one of these looking accurate is way different than most helmets. Lack of poor finishing could be considered a defect in this case. The pull, geometry and shape of the RS HDPE helmet is accurate, as well as the painting and finishing methods. Chips and all.
The EFX and Anovos Mandalorian helmets are pretty damn accurate pulls in shape and geometry, considering their sources; but they are not accurate in painting, finishing - not even in the method.
It’s amusing you don’t understand the difference.

I ordered one of the 10th anniversary battle worn helmets. If I didn't know the chipping and heavy paint wasn't accurate, I wouldn't have ordered one.
I'm not impressed by the finish even on good copies of the Anovos and efx Mando helmets. They both have issues even without defects.
I'm sorry you can't see the irony in wanting what would normally be considered undesirable on most prop replicas. Generally paint runs and chipped paint are not wanted. In this case they are.
Lovely! I went straight for battle worn.I got a HDPE box fresh from them in a limited run they did several years back So it could age naturally. After shipping, a little handling and display time it is cracking and flaking (which by the way I love) beautiful because it has “the look”. Everyone whose ordered is in for a treat.View attachment 1354405View attachment 1354406View attachment 1354407View attachment 1354408View attachment 1354409
Is that the battle worn version from the last run or was it box fresh at the time and that’s how it aged?SL Vader Helmet with the RS HDPE. These two go so good together. It's like they were made for each other.

Unfortunately not, I tried earlier. I agree with you, that was my only sticking point with the helmet. From what I’ve seen of the others people have posted, the position looks roughly the same.
