to the wall, out in the sun, with a small stream trickling away in the distance, just so their thirst becomes more emphasised, and we can all sit around, having a drink(alcohol if you like), with various rotten fruits to throw at them so the insects will attack them, and they can see that they should not haved F%#KED with the RPF :angry

I think mandatory castration would be a good deterrent. :angry My computer got infected and I've actually have several programs disappear, the shortcuts are still there, but the actual programs are gone. As far as the solution from the AVG web site:


-Go to your control panel
-(if in windows XP change over to the classic mode by clicking the link on the left just under your toolbars)
-Open Java Plug-in
-Click on the Cache tab
-Click clear

Only problem is I can't find my Java Plug-in. :confused Could it have been deleted as well?

I can't find that either.
 
are their still some effects from the hack apparent?

Sometimes when I come to the site, I get the White error page, with the dialogue, cannot run script bull crap.

All brands of computers are vulnerable - including MACs. Sure, Windows PCs have more issues, but MACs are not immune.

No offense paradox but the battle cry of pc users.. "macs are too vulnerable" just doesn't hold water. Yes there is some chance that a mac virus may hit, but in reality it just doesn't happen. Even if you can find one, two or even ten occurrences of someone running into a mac virus it in no way compares to the daily onslaught of the 1000's of pc/microsoft security issues.
We have 2 macs and 2 pc's here at home. I just look at them as tools and the pc's are great for games, dvd's, etc., the mac is the way to go online for a hassle free experience.

Not trying to start a debate here just passing on my experience of working with both machines at work and at home.
(jumps off soap box ;) )

Let's not turn this thread into a Mac vs. PC debate, that's not what this was about and any further "debate" will be deleted.



The tech savvy admin guys are aware of the SQL database issues and are looking into the possible cause. It seems to be quite random with no apparent relation to amount of traffic or time of day. The board software has been updated to the latest release as you can tell by the loss of the red flashing message indicator (Synasp is working to restore it).

As a few members commented on... no matter your platform and no matter which board you are visiting, you should always take precautions with regards to your personal/private information. Changing your passwords periodically and using STRONG passwords such as "Ura34_haY8" are the surest way to defeat brute force password hacking. Lastly, consider everything you post here and any other board on the internet to be at risk. Don't post or PM anything that may cause you harm.

I've been getting similar messgaes since last week, but no virus's as yet, fingers crossed (and scanning for virus's as I type this).

As of last night that was the only message I could get when trying to log on or view the forums, I could access my control panel and messages but would get the same error when I'd click on one of the forums.

Damn hackers :angry
