I bought an RPF .45 caseless blaster on here recently and was wondering if anyone had more information on it such as when it was made and what member made it.

good point. i forgot where my WIP thread on finishing it went.

I've got one of those, I think it was made through a cooperation of Ramiel and JMtwo, they had an old collaborative art thread where they started designing and talking about making cool stuff. They had a design for a round "oil drum" gun that I was really excited about.

Lets see if I can find the thread.

Edit here's the thread, http://www.therpf.com/f9/anybody-interested-business-partnership-15286/index2.html

on Page 2 you'll see the first artistic representation of the blaster near the bottom of the page and you'll have to follow the thread to see more. BTW JMtwo has apparently changed his handle on the forum, it was a long time ago :)

I've got mine painted gunmetal and yellow, never got around to finishing/weathering it. I need to do that some time soon :p

Cool. Its a really nice gun. I only had to do a little bit of cleaning and such. I did modify it a bit to be more comfortable to hold. I have to find and update my WIP for it soon. I noticed they even added details like 2 screw holes for mounting a scope on top so i'm making a scope for it. Something tells me this will be the easiest project I'll have any time soon lol.

I was just looking back through that thread, I forgot how much I loved that design for the "Hub Gun" they were considering doing. I have to set those imagies aside and think about scratch building a pair of them. That particular design really resonated with me for some reason.

Cool. I just wanted to give credit to who made it on the bottom of the display plague. I have a bunch of ideas for these things but my heads way outrunning my skills. I love the revolvers they have on here.

Ah... Those were good times:)

I was the happiest person on earth when I saw my designs turned into reality!:)

Glad someone still like it!:thumbsup

lol. I've been keeping it near me as i draw my own ideas so i can see how to get the amount of details right. the down side is this hobby and saving for an artist to draw my comics is going to put me in the poor house lol.

I'm ashamed to admit I bought one of the blasters when it was offered and have NEVER been happy with my finishes. So far to date it's been painted and stripped a good half a dozen times. :$

I've been thinking of making a laser sight for it too that would go where the scope will be or on the barrel. I'm also going to make several clips of ammo (can you even use the term clip/magazine when dealing with a caseless ammo?). I'm tempted to paint it like i saw the one in the threat it was shown with ivory white handle, steel body and copper panels. I wish i could paint a passable wooden texture or i'd give it a custom wood handle finish.
