On a side note, the trailer part from the Flakvierling38 need to be cut in half to reduce its width ! (already built this assembly but cant take pics now sorry)

If you mean the A2, then I think I'm gonna have to disagree about cutting it in half. I don't believe that the tabs on the A2 are meant to fit perfectly underneath the 312T nose. As a matter of fact, I think it's the tabs that may be chopped a bit.

And those things that look like vertical ribs on the side of it look like that flak trailer frame again? Just many of them lined up?

I say that because they seem to have a squarer section on the maquette, and you see the seam lines. Whereas the one used for filming has rounder sections like cylinders.

Edit: now I see how kbilly was comparing them in a post above!

Hmmmm...ok, that sounds feasible, then. I won't start chopping yet, but I will certainly keep it in mind.

This may have been obvious to others but I just noticed it.

The forward edge of upper 132B part is not cut at a 90 degree angle like I thought. It actually retains the kit part body shape with the forward angle. The blueprints show this and looking at the side shot ref pic, you can see the corner on the top left of the 312B part. Overall, it has a trapeziod (or trapezium) shape and tucks in under the 312T nose. The back edge is obviously a cut into the kit part.

I think you and Marvin are on point about that part. The blueprint overhead view also shows the same shape as that part.

Thanks for lining up the parts to look like the ref shots, Julien! I'm still wondering what that nub next to the BT44B rear view mirrors in the actual 3/4 ref shot. I'm wondering if that is the end of the brush handles. Just my imagination but if so, I wonder if Joe J. used hollow plastic handles and nipped the end off.

And like you mentioned, Marvin, that angled bar has been giving me hell!




And, by the way, thanks for the nice words about ID'ing this. I think kbilly and I have got this at about 65-75% id'd...he has been awesome to work with on this! Besides, I couldn't let you pros have every model! :lol

Yes Allen, Lee, its the brabham manifold. I thought it could also be the Lotus MkIII manifoild but that one is slightly longer. The plans seem to suggest to stubbier Brabham manifold also used on the Cloud Car guns.

Guys, i have a want. Reckon there would be any interest in a sculpt of the concept Scout to adorn this bike? I really am set on it TBH, something akin to the GG statue a while back?
Going to email the guy i want to sculpt it in the AM, just wondered if we all went in together and cast it, may look cool, if not, ill carry on regardless.

It's really tempting. At one time I was trying to reproduce a ss version as a one-off. But, too many things were wrong with it, got binned. This would be more my speed, and is a great illustration of how ILM used kit parts, even though it's a maquette. You've all done a great job so far on the IDs, been a pleasure to read.
