Definitely pretty... Is there any protective coatings that will prevent natural oxidation to the brass pieces? If not, it should develop a nice patina over time.

There are no coatings. The brass on the neck and control box has already dulled up a bit due to just handling. I also neglected to mention this thing has some weight! Lots 'o brass and aluminum here.

It's 100% natural (real) brass and aluminum.

You're right. The brass gets a great natural look to it after a little handling. I went through a period where I kept mine polished before I gave in and let it all age down. My oldest piece has a really nice patina sitting up on it.

I think Easy Off oven cleaner might do a job on the metal as well, but I don't have much experience with aluminum.
