Guys,

Im handing the drawings over tommorow to the guy who is going to be machining my ROTJ Luke lightsabers for me :D

Just wanted to ask a quick question :angel

Are the Hero and V2(not stunt.) sabers the same in all ways except for the control box/graflex clamp and paint/finish scheme? I want to know this as i intend on making the Hero first and then ask him to make another to be turned into a V2.

Sorry to be a pain.

No,

Although the general shape of the hero and the stunt/v2 sabers are relatively the same, the dimensions of the sabers differs in almost every respect.

Compare these two plans

Thanks for the info.I do have those drawings thanks to anothe member here :)

So am i to assume that the V2/Stunt sabers are more similar to each other than the Hero?

They should be. Both were leftover OWK stunts cast off the same master copy. So aside from the modifications to the V2 to make it a "Hero" they should be nearly identical.

The V2 and the stunt are essentially the same saber in that they were made from the same castings. The dressing is different (paint scheme, button, emmiter nose) but the overall dimensions are the same. The Luke hero was based on these sabers but all of its dimensions are different. It is as if the maker looked at the stunt and decided to make a saber that looked like it. The overall feel is similar, but you could never say that they were the same saber.
