Just caught a late showing and to briefly sum this movie up, think Bohemian Rhapsody but with an actually decent script, focused direction, and creativity. So, an actual movie! This was a fun biopic/musical and leagues better than what Bohemian Rhapsody offered (I still don't know why it was praised as much as it was).
If there was one gripe about it, the beginning starts a bit rough; a bit cliched, and the direction and editing doesn't look as well put together as it does later on as the movie progresses. Not that there isn't tried and true tropes that the movie falls into but there's a lot of creativity and imagination put into how Elton John's discography intertwines with the narrative, and that's what brings this movie up for me. A really fun time.
