Robotic spirit of Water - Sheera - Completed

Hello again.

These projects all started with a female Tusken Raider costume since asking several of my past girlfriends and friends if they wanted to wear the costume gave me no results, and I sure as hell didn't want to wear it myself, so I decided to buy a female mannequin for it -

It was not very fun to see after assembling it that it could not wear the costume at all since it was all bent to the side in a pose, therefore I chose to cut it apart to straighten it while also turning it into a robot woman named Cyrah to make it look cooler -

Later I started making some really neat science-fiction artwork with her and thought they were really cool, something that lead into the creation of a second robot woman with a fully poseable body named Zenia - (Still under construction)

While building Zenia, I got yet another design in mind in the shape of a small metallic blue robot woman with shiny eyes and all that, so later when finding a cheap mannequin, strangely enough from the same factory that made Cyrah's body, I bought it to turn it into Sheera -

As for now it is under construction, and photos of the progress can be found --> here! <--

I hope you all like this one too.

Live long and prosper.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Great work!! lol A duck and a beaver (for those that missed it look at the pictures again)

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

I'll bet sometimes you have to chase those beavers out right, or does that only happen in Canada? ;)

Nice work BTW!

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Some minor updates were added today. Currently working on the metallic wig and will paint the head soon.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Okay this is just soo cool. I'm a robot fanatic and always wanted to get into it (got plenty of books on it). Keep up the work.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Thanks for the coolness description. I also have plans to build more robots that can do various neat things, but of course I lack those books you have there..

Will do.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

My books mainly focus on battle robots but teach wiring and hydrolics to a point so it helps. I also have one that i have to get the name of for you, its a phonebook sized book with places to order parts and how-to clips in it. The other i have is just a book on robots in japan from the first Edo period clockwork ones to their cutting edge androids. i used to get Robot Magazine too but they focused mostly on competions for bipedal robots and at 3000 for a starter kit it was too much for me.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Sounds like you probably know more about making robotics now than me then, I just can't find a single book about the subject in this place. The one about Japanese robots sounds interesting to me, but still I don't like their Android projects that much, the way I see it, why build a robot to look like something that already exists and works a whole lot better than what the robots could ever become?

At least the ones I build here look more like robots that humans even though they have human forms, still they don't do a thing here though, that's why I call them statues, they are just for display and graphic design. Would be awesome though if one day it was possible to modify them into working robots.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

wow very cool! I really like the way your faces look. I lol'd many times reading your site.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Why are there no pics past the "The line must be drawn HERE! This far, no further!" message?

Nice work but your site is terrible to navigate!! Broken links etc.

The faces are great! Do you ever plan on selling them?

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

@punisher - Thanks for liking the faces I made for them, good thing you found my pages funny.

@franz bolo - That is a quote from Star Trek, put there to show that there are no more photos beyond that line, and the reason for that is because I am actually still working on the project, continuingly posting more photos of the work I do as it progresses.

Thanks for liking my work, and I appologize for my website, it is actually working completely properly, only the links point towards pages that are not yet created.

Nice that you also liked the faces I made for them. I believe I will most likely never sell the three statues that I made, but possibly I might make casts of the faces if ever people want to use them for any other projects. I am also building a replica of the evil computer woman S.H.O.D.A.N. and will therefore make a cast of Cyrah's face for that since she somewhat looks like her.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Got to spray paint her face and body some more now, and the page has been updated with such photos - The Creation Of Sheera - Page 04

Also got to attach the custom sewn wig, and damn she became really 80's-like fluffy.

I decided not to trim her overly long fringe since I kinda liked it that way, and still it was possible to brush most of it away to the side like this.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

Finished the "power core" which is really just a transparent plastic fruit juicer part and some other junk I threw together, but it looks like the part.

All that is left now is to paint the details on the legs and start working on the arms.

Hope ye all like it so far.

Re: Gynoid robot statue - Sheera

I found a really neat program called Crazytalk that can animate photos of faces to make them talk and so forth.
Cost about 150 bucks, but I need it for some animated movie later and some other videos.
The other neat thing about this program is that I can use it to make various expressions on their faces like this.
Sheera%20-%20008%20-%20Hair%20Obstruction.jpg

This sure opened a big door of possibilities for more science-fiction artwork with these robot chicks.

Still this project could not be completed as soon as thought since it's raining all the time now and my arm hurts because of nerve damage or something.
Therefore I will make acetylsalicylic acid my new friend for the next weeks until my arm gets better...
