Robocop Helmet Paints

I'm calling this finished for now. I still have the face to do at some point.
The blue on the band is Vallejo transparent blue thinned 50/50 with Vallejo thinner.

The bullet hits were painted in with Molotow chrome. The scorching was done with Alclad transparent smoke and some highlights with Alclad transparent yellow. I dry brushed some acrylic black for the streaks using a stiff knackered old brush. For some reason the camera only picks this out as solid/block black. I was going to take some better beauty shots outside, but weather!

Managed to get a really nice gloss on the black jaw.

Looks great Matt! Looking forward to see what you do with the part 2 helmet
Cheers.
I'm looking forward to that one. And have all the paints ready to go this time!!

I'll be taking a break from Robocop for a while after that one. Build up some steam for the suit. I got the files in the DO3D lockdown sale a while back. Looking at the size of the task, it may just kill me!!

Ive been working on an eye for my Robocop helmets as well.

I use VHT titanium blue over a white primer for mine.
You don't need to do any of the curing for it as you're not gonna subject it to high temps. Its just the colour. Just leave it a few days to off. Then build up gloss coat in light layers.
On page 2 of this thread you can see how the look changes depending on light conditions.
Hello to everyone. I know that thread is old now, but maybe I can get help here.

mutronics & mattycsi could you tell me which metallic paint you used for base color for all your Robocop's helmets?
