i finished the important parts of the suit. well i finished the pepping in 4 days due to a rush for a cosplay con this aug 14...
didn't have time to resin but i'll post the pics of the suit once im done painting them. i used a rather rush method due to small little time.
one thing i can say though are the legs, very bulky compared to the movie suit. maybe i need to rescale them the next time i have time to resin them. anyway wish me luckill post pics once im done
yeah i used body filler (same as bondo). its harsh stuff, difficult to make smooth and without any mistakes + the hardening time is very small.
hey guys. just finished pepping the fingers. what is everyone planning on doing with these?
are you all still going through the fiberglassing and bodyfilling process or just resining and painting? really could do with hearing some ideas. also do you intend on keeping them as seperate pieces? im thinking of attaching them permanently to a pair of gloves.
ive also considered the prospect of adding the hinges that were used on the movie gloves (anyone care to post the link of the iron man movie suit tour which explains what i mean).
all suggestions would be very welcome.
cyberzone cosplaybased on what i know its supposed to be simultaneous across all SM Malls. Well my dad works in makati, his officemate's near a plastic factory in Taguig, they sell resin, not yet premixed, sold in sacks. A sack is worth 2,500 pesos which comes together with a hardener.
What method did you use on your pep? I used bondo+10 layers of varnish on my helmet. Primered it then spray painted it. Well it looked nice mostly..
For the armor i used mason filler masilia, mixed with the primer then spread it evenly over the pep, and wahla, not as hard as resin but will do.
How bout you dude what event? I'm guessing its cyberzone also right? :love

currently working on my arc reactor again :love
my old reactor was unfortunately explode...yeah...EXPLODE....
when you do the boots, robo reccomends cutting or drilling a few small holes in the heel and toe pieces to kind of slosh the resin around in there.
