oh no wonder. well in regards to the pep you have up, like after glassing it and stuff how exactly do we turn so you know like, the handplate stays above our hand? Or does it go right onto the palm piece itself? Like I mean the lower part of the forearm stays solid in that position, and the handplate is attached, so if my hand twists, won't it be at a different position than the handplate?

I would say attach it to the glove.

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

guys forgive me for asking this question, but i tried to do a search and i guess i just couldn't narrow it down enough to make sorting through all the results easier...

Anyway... what brands/colors of paint are you guys using?

I have heard the colors for the Mk.III suit being Nissan Merlot (Roma) Red and Pacific Gold, but the mk.iv/mk.vi has a brighter red (i think the gold is the same though)

Thanks guys :)

Hey guys, heres a suggestion for the gloves!

Use this thread maker's idea on making gloves from stockings:

and then paint layers of red latex over it until solid and thick enough. once done, you can lightly carve the grooves for scales in it and just stick the glassed finger pieces and palm piece on it.

awesome idea

So I recently starting pepping my my stuff from robo's files. By the way thanks for all your work, I known for a fact I bothered you quite a bit with a lot of PMs asking stuff.

Well sorry but this just so happens to be one more. I don't quite understand this but like, you know in the first movie how tony just lifts up his arm and shoots out a missile at that tank? Well my question is that on the arms where is that? I mean the arms sorta look different than they do in the movie. Anyone else notice that? No offense to your work just asking for some clarification.

the suit which shoots a missle out of the wrist is the mark III suit. the comparment is shaped differently and farther up the arm on the mark IV and VI
suits, which are the ones robo has made pep files for.

lmao yea I just noticed it. Okay thanks guys!

By the way, how would any of you connect the lower portion of the forearm and the upper portion? I know the lower goes right in, but how would you you know, keep it there?

build up layers of foam inside your piece till its snug in place on your arm. and for the circular rotating joint to stay aligned, i would make a circle the same size as the joint circle, and attach it to the upper arm at a comfortable connector point. then just use a rivet thru both circles when lined up.

just finished the cod piece. I actually didn't add the piece over the waist area. Then I'll do more modifying on it once it's hardened. Hint - for restroom breaks.

I also made a dummy out of cardboard that's the same dimension as my body. This will help me make a better fit because I will have all the parts on it when I apply EpoxAmite on.

hey robo any chance at a peek of what you have so far? dying to see it

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

Hey Robo, do you mind if i adjust a little bit of the geometry to your models? to avoid lots and lots of Flaps in small areas.
Or just Joining Adjacent Edges.... will make models little bit easier to pep and will be the same overall, minor changes.
Just my 2c.

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

which part is it for?

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

for example...

(from the shoulder)

As you can see the right immage its a little bit easier to build, less flaps .. way cleaner than the left one. This just by joining the edges. It keeps almost the same form the change its not visible.
This is what i mean.

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

well as long as it stays buildable...lol....go for it....

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

Im gonna try it out. i will post results lol overall it must be easier... at least thats what i think :confused.
Anyone has any oppinion about it? personally i've never done this (joining edges)before but looks quite promissing...
