Wow, those are great looking Peps. I have to figure out what's the best way to cut to chest brace...

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

Hello Everyone, im new on this forum and kinda new on Pepakura, been building a few pieces from Dungbeettle and others, i just fond this site / thread and i find it quite amazing how you guys have been working to get this done.
But before i move on, i would like to thank everyone who has been contributing here specially Robo since he got the worse part of the modeling :p (hope you'r better now from your food poisoning).
I've downloaded most of the pep's linked on the first post, and i noticed all of them are made for A4 paper, wich its a problem for me, so.... i will try and do my best in order to adjust them to Letter size for everyone who needs it. I will link them here and if its ok hope Robo add them to the First Post.
As many people already asked... i only see 1 side of the model, i've heard that if you invert the pattern it fits to the other side but i havent tested that myself.
Well, wish me luck on the Adjustments i might spit some piezes in order to make it fit.
I will avoid adding the supports since Robo made a single file for all of them.(thanks :D)

Changing a little bit on the topic... how's the work on the feet and neck? its been awhile since the last update on the project, any words on that?

Well, again thanks and good luck guys. I will upload the letter version soon i guess :p

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

the 3d image may look the same, but they are already swapped on the 2d/cutout side.

i.e. the image of the completed arm is the same in both files, but the pieces are reversed in the 2 files.

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

A few parts in Letter Size.
I tried to avoid Flap Overlap making small cuts in some of the faces.
Again this is not my Unfold or Model.

EDIT: I have seen a few downloads already... let me know if everything is allright with the files and the sides (i used the inverse layout and im not sure if that works well) Thanks.

Just Bumping this links to the last page, in case someone needs them.
this is the letter size version of the robo files!

while I do not have any pictures to update as of just yet, just a note.... I have pep'd the following.... Head, chest support, plates between shoulder and neck, chest, back, left arm, and working on right arm. I am doing the Mk6 chest, but leaving the Mk4 support brace. That way, when I make the reactor, i can make it fit in the hole and all is good....

Thanks to all who are posting the pics, and updates, it is what keeps me motivated to continue.

I've got one finished, and it looks pretty good. I'll try and get a pic up for you to see the results.

Cam

cant wait to see it

Have you built or modeled anything else yet Robo? Even a teaser would be nice if it's not ready.

working on the feet at the moment....its slow going though

robo be cool to see you in the pep you have made so far.

i haven't made anything else since i did that arm...lol....

Collar is Fiberglassed:
What is the pocket on top for on the top of the spine? future plans? did you have an idea on how to splice this thing, since the collar doesn't fit over the head?

ah i wondered how long it would be till someone would ask about the pocket.....it's part of a plan for the neck....which probly won't work...lol....

and it doesn't fit over the head?...hmm...thats a shame....i'd say split it on the sides, and then you can just use some buckles to hold it together....

@frog - keep posting those letter arrangements....it'll save me time doing them....

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

with the chest brace you'll just have to cut it from the neck to the shoulder, and use a combo of nylon webbing and cam lever buckles. You might wanna do this too around the rib area.

Yea, I was thinking of cutting it closer to the spine then adding some more pep to the front side of the cut line, to give it an over-lap. Thinking this should help hide the seam.

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

hey guys just letting you know that the feet/spine/neck should hopefully be done by monday

the back and the neck seal will hide the seam anyways. Actually even a side release buckles will work. I have an idea with the cam lever buckle, but I don't have the brace done yet.

I bet you wanna marry the neck pocket to the neck seal you're makin. I was lookin at the 360 render and the neck seal is connected to the brace where the pocket would be

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

So I recently starting pepping my my stuff from robo's files. By the way thanks for all your work, I known for a fact I bothered you quite a bit with a lot of PMs asking stuff.

Well sorry but this just so happens to be one more. I don't quite understand this but like, you know in the first movie how tony just lifts up his arm and shoots out a missile at that tank? Well my question is that on the arms where is that? I mean the arms sorta look different than they do in the movie. Anyone else notice that? No offense to your work just asking for some clarification.

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - 27/6 first post rewritten, RIGHT LEG in first p

the arms are completely different between the two movies, thats why that part isn't there....
