the one top middle(domed) is from the Invisible Boy, and Outer Limets Episode. I was involded in a full scale build of a Robby till things went sour, can see pics here.....There are two Robots I will eventually make and Maximillian is the other one.

Yeah, Byron and I tried to make the pieces that those two other guys did work. But they were too darned heavy and inaccrurate to keep going. All but the original parts we did ended up in the dumpster after weeks of work. A badly engineered breakdown from the start. Oh well, next time...

The Jackill's blueprints are essentially (credited) tracings of the Starlog ones complete with all of the inaccuracies.

Someone here was working on accurate ones from studio blues a while back but I haven't head of any updates.

Also here is my article on Forbidden Planet:

And I found the real Gort in LA and that is me standing in front of hm, with the planet and Robby photoshopped in.(I still have the untouched photo)

I am 5.6 so figue him out.

I have ONE of the Real Ear Fins (the plastic ones...) could be used to scale him up..

Plus I might still be in with Bill Malone and with the right help, contat him and see if we could visit and take pictures and measurements (like a sweet deal on my own copy...)

That is a Barton Robby- I have actually purchased a fair amount of stuff from Fred and it has been worth every penny- I know the stuff is expensive but he will usually work with you on payment plans, etc. Moreover, he comes through on premium quality work in a reasonable timeframe.

Gort is very imposing and animated to the point the head tilts, visor opens, and eye pulses preparing to vaporize. I love Robby as well but still doesn't have the presence of Gort.

Still need a Phantom Creeps full size for the collection and maybe a Target Earth . . .

Also, the new Forbidden Planet DVD is worth the price- It has the documentary on building Robby but also a ton of extras (including the full Invisible Boy feature) and the print itself is stunning both auditory and visual. Watched another 2 times this past weekend- Really a noticeable difference from prior releases-

Mentat Eaviii is correct, that's a Barton Robby. The middle domed Robby in the Starlog isn't from Invisible Boy, however, that film uses Robby exactly as he was in FP with the addition of a small catch on the hopper opening to allow the boy to open him up to attach a cable to the "evil computer."
The Gort is impressive, though I'm pretty sure it wouldn't fit in my house. (ceiling too low)
Bill (Malone) is a buddy of Fred's though, so I doubt he'd let you go over to phtograph and measure his when Fred sells them under license. Certainly worth a try though, please share the pics. :D :D

Been reading this with great interest. A Target Earth robot would be super cool.. I remember watching the movie as a kid and was in awe of it. The aliens from Earth vs the Flying Saucers would be a neat even though they werent actualy robots.

Yeah, pretty sure the small dome version was Project UFO, but someone already said that, so I didn't think it needed repeating.
Fred will have standees of Robby and other "Robby" products, I hear, so there may be cheaper fixes available.
Also, the new FP DVD set has a small Robby included (the deluxe set in the metal case.)

That's what I'm after realisticly (for now)...a Robby standee...
I have LIS and a couple others...
That's great to hear actually :)

Couldn't agree more on a Saucerman- Have a little Invasion of Guy but would love the Earth vs alien in armor- They make a few resin versions that are pretty cool- Also, I did position Gort in a stairway beacause he fits best ther. That being said, I think he should fit in a room with 8ft ceilings.

P.S. for some reason Dr Satan's robot isn't showing but that is the link-

That Bender looking robot is from an OLD serial. "The Mysterios Dr. Satan" or "Satans Satellites" I think. Sombody else will know for sure.

I think they're from "Undersea Kingdom", with Crash Corrigan.

Awesome collection.

Hmmmm... that Bender looking guy looks like an easy build. Do I really need my water heater??? or the ducts from my clothes dryer??
