If you like the 1951 "The Day the Earth Stood Still", here's an easy prop to make. I obtained a block of clear acrylic from Amazon, 3D printed a base and there you have a block of KL-93. "A new plastic material stronger than steel." I couldn't get a very clear screenshot but a true fan of the film would certainly recognize it.
