Rob Zombie's a prop collector

Found this picture online this morning of what I believe to be a display case inside Rob Zombie's house. Lots of House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects props, but there also appears to be some stuff in there that isn't from either of those movies. Just thought you folk might like to see.

Here he is with his best prop.

Rob had tons of stuff all over his house. He is a huge horror fan. I say had because I think he got rid of most of it.

Y'ever just see a guy in interviews or whatnot and know that you'd be fast friends with them if you were to ever meet them in a social situation? I get that vibe from Rob. We dig on so much of the same stuff, I'm totally into his entertainment sensibilities and we even grew up in the same geographic area (about 25 minutes away from me).

Did get to meet him once at an autograph signing, but I just wish I could get the chance to "hang out" with him. Hey, if anybody here knows him and wants to hook me up with the ultimate in Christmas presents... :)

I was hoping to see some Michael Myers stuff in that pic. :)

I like Rob's movies and I was excited to hear that he had been signed to direct the next Halloween flick (I'm a big Myers fan). I thought it was very cool of him to show off pics online of him with CGP's Warlock mask. I understand why he can't use that specific mask for the film but atleast he's walking down the right path in getting the character to look right ... something that has not been done since Halloween 2.

If u want to see more of Rob's collection try and download mtv's cribs episode featuring him.
Loads of stuff there.
He even owns the original polar bear from the addams family tv show.

Not entirely, but I appreciate your zeal for the topic. :)

I'll never forget a few years ago when he was on Letterman. (I think it was just after his first solo album was released.) Can't remember what song he did, but he was in full rubber-horror dress, screamin' and sweatin' his head off. He was getting so worked up you could hear him start to lose his breath. The total image of evil, gory darkness.

After it was all over and Dave walked onto the stage, Rob let rip a super friendly "Hi Dave.." sounding like the nicest guy on the planet, completely shattering the image. : )

(I also seem to recall the entire White Zombie gang bathing in chocolate pudding a couple years earlier, also on Letterman...)

He does seem like a cool guy. Between '93 and '95, I saw White Zombie 5 times. Great shows, and one thing I found refreshing was the complete lack of any reference to beer, pot, any drugs at all..... The only substance mentioned was water. After all the concerts I had been to, the frontmen were all beginning to sound exactly alike. He didn't feed into the rock cliche to get the audience pumped.

There were plenty of references to Charlie Manson though.... :p

Pity he went on and on about how he hated horror remakes and how they were killing the genre, the he signs on to the...Halloween remake. Way to sell out, Rob.

Re: Rob Zombie's a prop collector

Rob Zombie does not own the ADDAMS FAMILY polar bear. I do (and several other original show props). Notice in the pic of Zombie's bear the closed mouth. The ADDAMS bear has an open mouth in full snarl (not to mention a bullet hole on top of the head). Zombie owns a similar Hollywood-used bear, but his is from ROADHOUSE, and from what I understand, not in very good shape.

Here is a pic of the REAL Addams bear...(used in both the classic 1960s series AND the 1991 movie with Raul Julia and Angelica Houston).
