Richard Pryor star wars bar skit

Cool, never seen it before.

Is that a POTA jacket at 2:07?

It is... not the first time POTA costumes turned up on a cantina monster either!

From Star Wars - does that space suit look familiar? Like it should be worn by someone escaping from the Planet of the Apes? ( http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDR...y/escape_title_Planet_of_the_Apes_blu-ray.jpg )

Also from Star Wars - does that vest look familiar?

Just watched Richard Pryor, Live in Concert. Shot in Long Beach CA in 1979. It was great Pryor, very animated and now I finally know what the audience was laughing at when he was not talking.

Wow, JUST saw clip (the YouTube link in post #1 is still good as of this writing). I don't think that I had even heard of this skit before.

Pretty cool, nice to see some of those Cantina masks and costumes clearer in relatively brighter lighting and for longer shots than their presence in A New Hope.

"Hey, why don't you watch where you're going? You got the biggest eyes in the place!"

Funny! And oddly enough, it seems to capture the "flavor" of the original better than last years' Super Bowl ad did!

Yeah, thought about that before posting, but I was too excited about it not to share, lol. Someone posted the link on Facebook today and it was the first clue I had that this even existed. Love seeing those old cantina masks.

I think this is a personal necro thread record, though, haha.

Great necro. :thumbsup

I never saw this before either and I'm really glad someone brought it back.

When Richard was at the top of his game, no one even came close.

I'm really surprised that Lucas let them use the real costumes.
