Limited Run Rey Goggles (Made to Order) from The Force Awakens

Concordantly with Run#2 build, i have been working on these:

Mini Rey goggles!! :love

A fellow RPFer (and fellow 501st member) sent me his mini faceplate, and I utilized usajdm's smaller lenses to construct these for his daughter.

I cannot resist well done childrens' costumes! They are infinitely interesting...and armed with these goggles we shall now have a pint sized Sister Rey to join our ranks!

If anybody in run 2 would like to trade their slot for mine (#1 in 4th run), I'd gladly pay you an additional $25 over the price of the goggles. Trying to get a pair of goggles for my wife's Rey costume before a convention that starts on May 26th. Please PM me if interested. Thanks! (P.S., I asked Kristen if this was alright with her, and she said it was...I posted earlier in this thread.)

I did indeed give my stamp of approval to this...but it really rests with those of you on the #2 run list. Of course we each deserve our spot in line...but if anyone could wait just a bit longer and switch places with Jon8712 so that his wife can make her Con deadline, that would be much appreciated by him and his wife, as well as being in keeping with the spirit of teamwork and friendship that all of us Sister Reys embody.

So if anyone on Run#2 would be willing to switch with Art, please do let me know and we will make it happen. :thumbsup

Late to the party, as I wasn't planning on doing full scavenger, but two things: 1-the buns are difficult for me (though I can do them). 2-I really would like to cut my hair.

Therefore, thinking of making a tunic. And if I have a tunic, I need goggles, right? (Does anyone know if you can wear just the tunic for RL troops? I should ask..but wouldn't likely be my thing anyway...need goggles just because. *grin*)

There is absolutely no hurry and I realize things have been suspended for a while, but when the time comes, I'd likely be interested in a pair of goggles.

Thanks!

Technically the RL guidelines say that if you have the goggles you have to wear the head wrap... but it doesn't say you have to wear the goggles if you have the head wrap... :p

If interest is still high when run #5 is complete, I will go beyond.

Also, if anyone drops out I will add you on. :thumbsup

Well, I'm only adding this to my collection, so I'm in no hurry to put this on my wall. I can wait and am willing to switch places.

Thanks a lot, Kristen, for signal-boosting my post. Looks like yours was the needed magic touch! :) Very cool of you. And thank you for your kind offer, Jedieddy, I'll be PMing you to sort out the details in a few moments. (Dani thanks you both also, that's her as Rey and me as Luke in my profile pic.)

That's how I read it, too! ;) But I don't think I could do it! I think I'd need both. And whenever/whatever works. I could always eventually make my own, but...yeah, these are better than anything I could make.

Just curious, the light is the stunt one, right? Not a working one.

Correct... these come with stunt lights.

I *could* have tried to include a working light, but it would have driven the cost up a good bit more as I'd have had to resculpt an oversized light to fit in a working flashlight...then I'd have to buy said flashlights en masse, etc.

As is it's a simple thing to remove the stunt light and replace with a working light if you're so inclined. Just loosen the bolt holding the arms together and pop it off, replace with a working one of your choosing. :thumbsup

Front page updated!

I HUGE thank you goes to JediEddy for helping out a friend and switching places! That was VERY cool of you! That is very much in keeping with the spirit of the RPF, and it's also what Rey would have done; not hesitated to help a friend in need. GOOD ON YA! :love

Yes, our very sincere thanks to Jedieddy and Kristen for helping us out!!

That makes sense. I was just curious about it :rolleyes
These are looking so good!
I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be your new job for the rest of your life.

Thanks, Redwillow.

I'd wanted to keep the price and build time down, so that's why mine have a stunt light. BUT...it is very easy to replace it with a working one, so by all means do pop a working on on there if you are so inclined. I put one on my pair.

I wish that i could find a light small enough to fit in the housing that i've casted, but so far i have been unsuccessful in finding one that is small enough to fit inside without having to drill out so much of the housing that there's nothing left. :(

Uggghhh... it really has become like a second job! I was up till 2AM last night working on Run#2 , in addition to working six days per week at my "day" job.

I think i could enjoy myself quite alot making things to sell for a living...if I didn't already have a 48 hour per week job. :lol

Speaking of...

I've got to install goggle clips tonight, and weather. then it's on to installing the shock cord, and casting up the stunt lights.

Please add me to waiting list or next run. Thanks

At the moment I'm not taking any more additions to the list... at least until I get caught up to run #5. BUT...I am keeping track of those of you who have chimed in after I'd closed down the list, so if there are any dropouts I will move you all in. :thumbsup

Received mine safe and sound today, they are absolutely PERFECT!! Cannot recommend them enough, anyone on the waiting list is in for a real treat :) Thank you again Kristen :D
