If you would use holes for air instead of a fan,what size do the holes need to be?
And do they need to be all over the surface of the helmet for sufficient airflow,or will it do to have a bunch of them in front of the mouth?

BAK555, I love your design. It is like something out of a 30s-50s comic. You mentioned there could be a problem with heat. Have you considered using reusable cold packs? You can get them in different sizes for ice chest, or medical uses. Some freeze solid, while others stay pliable when cold. They also come in different sizes. You would probably have to mount them at the exhaust vent, as moisture from them might not be good for the fans.

While I had mentioned the summers here can be uncomfortably hot and humid, heat hasn't been a problem while wearing the helmet as long as the fans are circulating air.
