Resurrecting a Polar Lights Enterprise

I know that it would be easier to buy a new one but I want to see if I can do this. This model was bought when I was 12, assembled in a day and then played with and experimented on until it got to the state that it is in now. There are pieces from 3 kits in here and it has all the parts necessary for a series version of the ship.

I'm thinking of making a mold of a the deflector spike from another kit because the one here is broken. Will the mold stuff I have work?

I'm thinking of replacing the nacelle pylons with wood

Sounds like FUN! Go for it.

The stuff you have will work, but only for a short time. Liquid latex has a lot of water in it and shrinks as it cures. It will also take FOREVER to dry if you do it too thick.
