Resident Evil Afterlife Shield questions

I am thinking about making the shield from Resident Evil Afterlife, but I have never made a shield before and I was wondering what you guys thought would be the best material and or easiest material to work with that would still look accurate. Thanks

Your best bets probably lexan resin.

Depending on your level of skill, I would say the easiest amd quickest way to make it, would be from camping mat foam. One layer paint black, second layer (metallic part) paint silver. Add an Umbrella emblem, and some arm supports on the back. You may also want to layer the black "foam" on a piece of card to retain it's shape.
