Replica Bond Omega Seamaster sources?

I have a costume ball to go to for Mardi Gras, and I'm going as 007. I'm happy with my TAG and don't want to shell out a lot of money for another watch, but the anal-retentive in me would like to be sporting the Omega at the party.

Anyone around here have recommendations for a respectable source for replica Omegas? Of course, I'd prefer someplace that sells Seamasters that aren't branded "007".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Squirk

Just about ANY Omega dealer will have the "Bond" seamaster without the Bond logo on it. Just look for the Blue Dial, Blue Bezel and bond link bracelet. You're still paying for an Omega (and that isnt a bad thing) but you don't have to hunt down one of the limited edition numbered editions either.

Isn't the phrase "respectable source for replica Omegas" an oxymoron? :)

My trusted source in Korea reports the faux watch market has dried up; quality is better, when you can find them, but they start around $400.

My, ahem, trusted source in Turkey reports quality is better than a few years ago, but they are still in the $100-150 range.

Perhaps. But I think if there's one lesson to learn around here, it's that some replica makers are more honorable than others.

I just don't want my credit card getting misused or my personal information exploited. And I spent enough on my TAG that I can't justify going balls-out on a real Omega just for a costume party.

Hi all.

I bought a Omega DeVille Co-axial chronometer for $200 with watchez.com

I'm very happy with the transaction : no soucy and great quality.

Squirk -- you anywhere near New York City?

Canal Street has dozens of replicas so good you are hard pressed to tell the difference even when holding a real one.

Thanks for the links, guys. Not near NYC, but New Orleans has a Canal Street of its own that might have what I need. I rarely go into the city anymore, but it might be worth a trip.

Where on Canal Street? Maybe I'll check it out next time I'm in the Big Apple :cool

Interesting thread...I have a faux Rolex I got as a gift from someone in Hong Kong...but still prefer the real deal.

I hear that. I recently purchased a TAG as well and was going between that and one of the Omegas when I made the purchase. I couldn't afford or justify two timepieces of that price range.

He was wearing the black faced 45mm Planet Ocean, on a rubber strap early in the film and then switched to the standard blue Seamaster later on. There are no reps of the 45mm PO with a rubber strap yet, but I'm sure they will be along soon. The blue Seamaster is one of the most accurate reps out there.

Did you get the Bourne TAG? If so, how much did you pay for it? Just curious.

I got the new rubber strap Carrera Chronograph. Im not sure which one if the Bourne Tag though. I have sold the TAG Aquaracer model worn by John Leguizamo in "Land of the Dead", does that count for anything? LOL

Why is it, you're all so quick to scream-down recasters but have no problem whatsoever recommending fake watch manufacturers? It's quite bizarre. :rolleyes

Anyway, here's my authentic Casino Royale Planet Ocean, photographed just yesterday. B)

I knew this was coming, and yeah you're right, we're wrong. But then again I never "scream-down" recasters, I leave that to the people they recast. I also suppose that MR and all of the other licensed prop companies and IP holders don't care much for these boards and some of the stuff that takes places here...I have other boards that I can talk about replica or "fake" watches. I was just enjoying 2 of my interests intersecting. :unsure

And BTW, nice PO. I would love to have one of those.
