Reimagined flux capacitor?

Has anyone seen/made a flux capacitor, but with a modern twist? The original is obviously iconic, but I wonder what it would have looked like had the Film been released more recently, or if the film was (shudder) remade today?

Considering Doc Brown could stop somewhere in his future and rebuild one. It's not really that far of a leap of a different flux capacitor.

Seems like there are a lot of custom props out there. It would be interesting to see one done with this one.
Another one would be to do a bit of a steam punk one that could be the FC from the train in BttF3.

It would probably have blue LEDs and look like Iron Man's arc reactor.

I saw a cool steampunk version somewhere. I'm sure there's a cool modernish one out there. Maybe if I get some spare 'time' I'll make one someday.
