Base coat off-white to match what they did for the TROS remotes. I'm working on the masking now. Taking a while.
On a side note, I'd like to get feedback from those of you who purchased one of these regarding how I end up doing the little Horseshoe details around the laser assembly.
The OT original prop had white horseshoes and the prop maker tried to paint underneath them with red after they were assembled. This resulted in a very sloppy paint job. Example.
For my original run and for my kits, I use Vinyl machine cut stickers to replicate the red under the horseshoes so that it's a much cleaner look.
For TROS, the prop department literally took a Master Replicas remote and a red paint pen and just colored in the ball area with red.
The MR remote has Red painted horse shoes for some reason instead of red behind them like the real prop.
So that's what's on the TROS prop
So the question is, do you guys want me to do them the way I did for my limited edition and kits? or try to hand paint them red? Or leave them and let you guys that want to paint them red, do it yourself?
