Limited Run Red TROS Version Floating Jedi Training Remote Limited Edition

Got the parts started on the first half today. More of the same tomorrow since it’s rainy. Can’t paint yet until the weather clears up. Next step is underlying white cost and masking for the paint chip effect. I'll try to post updates here daily (when possible).

Got the base coat of off-white done on all 10 plus all the greeblies. No pictures this update but you can imagine the above pic of them but in off-white lol. Going to let these dry fully over a couple of days and will then start the (hopefully no too tedious) process of masking off all the paint chip areas with liquid latex masking fluid.
Thanks for your patience guys!

Base coat off-white to match what they did for the TROS remotes. I'm working on the masking now. Taking a while.

On a side note, I'd like to get feedback from those of you who purchased one of these regarding how I end up doing the little Horseshoe details around the laser assembly.
The OT original prop had white horseshoes and the prop maker tried to paint underneath them with red after they were assembled. This resulted in a very sloppy paint job. Example.

For my original run and for my kits, I use Vinyl machine cut stickers to replicate the red under the horseshoes so that it's a much cleaner look.

For TROS, the prop department literally took a Master Replicas remote and a red paint pen and just colored in the ball area with red.
The MR remote has Red painted horse shoes for some reason instead of red behind them like the real prop.

So that's what's on the TROS prop

So the question is, do you guys want me to do them the way I did for my limited edition and kits? or try to hand paint them red? Or leave them and let you guys that want to paint them red, do it yourself?

Trooper_trent you’ve probably already seen the visual directory but this may help with the paint job as im not sure if you have a 360 view of the red one.

the text above the picture is interesting maybe we’ll see the 3 remotes in a deleted scene

OK fair enough. What I'll do then is leave the horseshoes white, with the red "cross-hair" decals underneath them like I did for my LE and kits. That way if you want to have red horseshoes that mimic the MR remote, you can easily paint them yourselves. i already have a perfect fine point dark red paint marker that works really well that I got at hobby lobby so I'll post that info for anyone who wants to do it.
