Limited Run Red TROS Version Floating Jedi Training Remote Limited Edition

Hey guys, quick announcement! Over the past year of making these, I've had several people ask me about display plaques to go with them. A few of you have had a one-off done and they all look amazing. Well if you've been wanting a plaque for your OT remote, want to have one made for this mini run of TROS remotes, or just one to go with my kit once you finish building it, I've got great news!

SaberCoaterz and Solid Sabers are teaming up to do a run of lightsaber plaques and have expressed interest in offering plaques for the Jedi Training remote in both OT and TROS designs. Each plaque will be UV printed on Dibond(Aluminum Composite) and will be approximately 2" x 6". Each print will be $20.00 Shipped ConUS. International shipping based on location.
Keep a lookout here for more info and to sign up. They look great and are a great price!

Thanks for the responses, guys. I'm going to cap this mini-run at 10 pcs, signed and numbered.
I will take payments beginning Feb 1, with expected shipping 2 weeks later.
I have updated the list at the very bottom of the first post. At this point I have room for 3 more (if everyone on the list commits)
Best,

Best,

Can’t wait to see where you take this!

For the people on the list for the Red one already or thinking about it. What are you thinking for the base?

I know Trent did a Dejarik style cut out for most people’s bases. I personally went with the jefi order logo, given the Jedi training link.

Anyone else have any appropriate ideas for the base on the red one. I was thinking rebel/resistance firebird style logo?

I have 2 slots left for the red version. There will only be 10 of these. Info in the first post.
Thanks!

Lots of sanding and cutting out styrene greeblies today. I have a few test pieces I'm painting to see which method I prefer and what looks closest to the real prop. Priming and painting should start tomorrow depending on the weather (it's a bit back and forth in Texas at the moment. Typical February)

Quick update, the balls are cut, balanced, test lit, test floated, puttied, primed and ready for paint.
I'm finishing up some test paint samples to finalize my method and I think you're going to be very happy with how these turn out.
This is just the first round of rough tests so don't factor in the sloppiness. The final round of testing is a dead on match but I don't want to spoil that yet..

I'm trying to get a great match of both the red, underlying cream color (they used a Master Replicas, masked it off and painted it), weathering, the correct mixture of gloss red and dull where it's been scratched, the paint chip effect, brown wash, etc.
I'm watching the weather to see what it's going to do before I decide to start applying the base coats today.
Thanks for your patience guys. I knew it would be a bit longer to do 10 than 1 or 2 at a time, but since this requires a revision of the order of steps because it's red, and new weathering techniques I want to get it right the first time. I appreciate your understanding and I hope you trust that I'm giving it my best.
