Rebel Sullest Trooper

Hello There.

I am working on a Rebel Sullest Trooper. I find the material to assist with making a good costume few and far between. Even the rebel legion website with the endor trooper isn't very helpful for the basics of the rebel ground troop.

So if anyone has any tips or tricks or even patterns to help with any Star Wars Cosplay that isn't the norm please feel free to post it here.

Not sure how far along you are, but looking at an in-game shot, it looks as though you could use fencing (as in sword fighting) gloves died brown. That or long rough-leather gardening gloves.

The helmet is definitely a repurposed Pathfinder helmet, just brown.

That jacket's a right bugger though. Looks like you'll need a brown softshell jacket, and then a sewing machine for the top, and will have to get brown combat trousers and do additional sewing there too. They really didn't make things easy for cosplayers!

Simple pattern you can mod for the jacket. LINK
Omit the pocket and add hoodie style.
Mod collar an add the padding.
Hoodie pattern LINK

Pants should be easy, just find exterior front pocket and expandable rear pockets with flap (hidden fasteners) and add the knee padding.

Gloves you could use welders gloves painted or dyed.
Or nomex with added leather cuffs.
Leather gardening gloves with added cuffs.
IIRC Wells Lamont gloves where used for the Endor Commandos.

Radio on left cuff looks like some that where used on background Hoth Troopers.

Gaiters over desert boots.

Endor / Hoth pack.
Standard Endor donut helmet with a new paint job. (WW2 AN-H-15 cloth helmet with black foam in ear openings, ribbing added on top, leather added to bottom edge and chin strap, cloth covered bill and plastic ring.)

Easy to find pouches.
US compass / first aid pouches.
US canteen in carrier.
Leather pouch same as used in movie, IIRC it's French (can't find my notes on it at the moment)

Left breast greeblie same as Endor Commando.
Right bandoleer greeblie same as Hoth trooper hat radio minus the antenna.
Grenades on bandoleer (right side) are same as on Hoth Trooper vests.
Left side grenades and belt charges, don't know.
Belt chargers have pen caps on the bottom.

In the color photos, it looks more like a vest over a shirt. You could do the sleeves on the shirt in the same material as the vest and then the bodice in a more comfortable breathable material for better move and comfort. Just like the Army Combat Shirt (ACS).

The female's is definitely a vest over jacket but the men's looks like it's just a jacket.
