Tiny update for the hilt in that the external design has been finalised and we're currently machining the prototype to make sure everything will work as planned before moving on with internal stuff like chassis/crystal chamber and auxilliary stuff like stands and plaques

Related info: I'm looking into a run of the holodisc posted above with housing cast in bronze and a waterjet cut disc. Design is done and prototype is on it's way. Info here:

We are having some power issues which are delaying the prototype at the moment, I believe they are almost resolved tho so hopefully we'll have something to show very soon

In the first post it says final price wont be determined until the prototype has been machined. Why would they do that if these were going to be printed?

No they will be metal I have 3d printed a plastic prototype to check dimensions etc. but the real hilts will be metal.
