Apparently the old rules remain for weapons deactivated before April 2016 unless im missing something?
Is that US law or EU?
@_Lee_ congrats on the purchase, like everyone has mentioned you won;t regret it.
Does that mean they have to be re-proofed when they're sold on?You do.
The old rules only apply to the old owners. As soon as the guns were resold (let´s say i´m no more interested in any of my deacs), they have to be treated according to the new laws.

EU.
Not as nice to us collectors as before, but still way better than cutting them into pieces.
Does that mean they have to be re-proofed when they're sold on?
usually the laws only apply to items made after the day the law went into effect. .
Bugger that, way too much hassle. Ill stick with my Resin cast and Hasbro conversion![]()
I think dealers can still sell old stock until they run out, so get one now!!
Ive just spoken to one of 2 Proof houses who have advised me on this. Basically i will need the guy to get it recertificated at a cost of £35 and then he can legally sell it to me. So even after that its still a good deal. I even asked about markings etc and they said they will mark the barrel, chamber etc to ensure it comes upto standard. The one im looking to buy has a 2015 cert from the same people so it should end well
Regards
