Here's every image I could find in the movie that could be useful.

Finally got around to working on my first goat skull! I wanted to try and match the look of the film as much as possible. First, I sanded the 3D model as much as possible but still didn't love the super smooth nature of it. I wanted to create more of a texture, so I first mixed some Bondo spot putty with some acetone to thin it a bit and "mottled" the skull with a sponge brush, purposefully trying to create raised bumps, etc. Then I sprayed it all with Rust-O-Leum Flat Grey Primer, then I painted a few base coats of a kind of cream/tan color. Then I went over with watered down brown mixtures and black. I'm very happy with it!

RaiderCrusade That looks so good!! It's honestly so much better than mine was! Though to my credit it was the first 3d print or replica that I ever attempted, haha. You have inspired me to revisit my original build once I have time. I originally didn't want to do paint on the skull because I wanted light from an LED candle to shine through but I honestly never turn it on anymore so I'd might as well go with paint.

Thanks! This was actually my first attempt at painting a model, too! I hope I can get the other one to look as good haha. The nice thing is that the paint is very forgiving. Or rather, once you have that bone colored foundation down, the heavily watered down paint (almost just like dirty water) is very forgiving and can be quickly wiped off. Thank you so much again for sharing the skull design!

Finished! I might try and darken the wire a bit at some point, but otherwise, I'm very happy with it. Thanks again to BK85 for the skull design! I did clip part of the lower inside section of the skulls in order to press the skulls closer together once the candle was inside.
