Questions About Bond Films that You Have been Afraid to Ask SPOILERS

Yeah, that made me laugh too.
No amount of ball smashing can slow Bond down. :lol
He's a tank.
M,
I was thinking Sheldon (BBT) during radio interview explaining monopole.
But Mickey Mouse is close enough.

Caveneau,
Yup, he is a tank. Look at your avatar, he even can steer with his rudder. :lol

I'm sorry if someone asked this already- it's Skyfall related so it's behind the spoiler tag

When Bond is in training and has terrible pain from the shrapnel, he stands in front of a mirror and DIGS into his flesh to dig the pieces out by himself. I guess they did that to make Bond look like a tough guy-- but upon watching it a second time on Bluray, I can't for the life of me figure out why he does that!
I mean, he's in the MI6 headquarters- would it have been out of the question to just have someone check him out? Come to think of it, wouldn't they have done that anyway, since he had just come back after being presumed dead from a GUNSHOT WOUND?

Didn't ruin the movie by any means (Skyfall is in my top 5) but that part does leave me scratching my head.... :unsure

Bond needs to feel the pain to feel alive at all. Or he's just crazy. :)

Watched The Living Daylights last night. Really liked it. After Moore we're back to no nonsense, killer Bond.

I thought it was to dig out the shrapnel so they could identify the assassin... who was prior to that un-IDed? Still, self mutilation is malingering, a court martial offense, so I didnt buy into it at all. Easier to ask a doc or nurse remove the damn stuff (the same ones who didn't examine his wound during his phys exam, i spose :screwy: ). Silly scene imho.

Ya, that was the reason but I agree, a little silly.

Easily overlooked considering how good the films was though. One expects in cinema that characters do things for effect.

I was thinking, why he talkes in normal tone after the smash.
He should sounded like after inhale helium (high pitched voice)....:lol
Because it's not a Warners cartoon in which Elmer Fudd gets a nut crushed.... ;)

M,
Am I the only one to answer your question on top 5 and bottom 5?
Need to hear others opinion too, otherwise:

Sorry, sorry. Let me fix that.

Top 5:

CR
OHMSS
FRWL/FYEO (same story, kinda)
GF
SF or TLD. Tough to decide.

Bottom 5:

DAD
MR
AVTAK
DAF
TMWTGG

There. That's better.

So watching Skyfall on Bluray answered one of my previous questions...

Eve shoots Bond in the lower abdomen, bottom right, just where he eludes to when he says "Just a rib and some minor organs, nothing major."

At the gunshot, you see the wound appear and a blood splat when watching frame to frame like a lunatic. :lol

My best guess is the bullet merely grazed him but it was the force that knocked him off the train as was disproved impossible by Myth Busters, lol.

Well, a moving train is a different situation. It's all one can do to keep yourself from NOT being swept off the train. A bullet hit is enough to make you lose your balance in that situation.

That's true, but in this case IIRC he flies pretty good. ;)
