I finally got a new air brush part in the mail today. Old airbrush broke, bought new one, hose was the wrong connection for the compressor! LOL. Anyway started airbrushing the skin today and did a coat on a neckring bought from the lair (you know who you are). I have also painted the gauntlets but won't post til they are done.

Omg exciting news, just managed to buy Bob Bagys awesome female torso. I will still make my chest armor but this...this is mecca.

What did you use for the wrist blades? Is if foamies? If so, the paint makes them look more substantial.
I'd like to use T6 aluminum, but I think that metal blades would keep me out of bars...

Thanks guys I'm surprised people are still looking at this lol. The wrist blades are just timber and I spray painted them. As for Bob's chest, he must still be working on it Have made the other one as a substitute for now!
Update for today I started spraying another set of hands and doing the dots on the skin. I am seeing spots so I might give it a few hours til I do the other side!

AWESOME! This is so helpful to me as I'm planning on doing my bodysuit the same way. Question though: How will you prevent the body suit from just stretching over the boobs/cleavage and kind of ruining the realism? Double sided tape?? I would like to do some sexy armour (the kind that miraculously provides high level protection despite barely being there! LOL), but I don't want a "t shirt" look over the boobs, so was going to change up the top part of the armour to cover that. I just have this feeling that taping would eventually sweat off, and that would suck!

YautjaGirl basically I put the morph suit on and drew around my boobs with pencil. I just air brushed them around the pencil. It is form fitting this suit luckily! And the boob armor I have made above will cover most of the boobs anyway and pull me in as it is made using a U-bra. If the suit is dry tomorrow night I will try put it on with the boob armor.
I finished the dots I don't think it needs anything else to be honest? I know the front is a bit bare but that's how it is in the Queen Of Death statue. I like it. I don't think I will bother with netting but depends how it looks tomorrow.

Very leopard like paint-up, a good choice for a female predator. It looks svelte and graceful.
Are you an experienced air-brush user? I'm hoping that results this fantastic are possible for a novice...

Timber blades, huh? I was thinking of cutting an office clipboard for the claws. It seems a good compromise between metal and foamies.

Haha no I am terrible at air brushing! I did the dots with my finger and the end of a paint brush. The rest of it it was just layers of spraying until it looked right and i found if I got up close the the skin and did a figure 8 swirly round it came out with the texture you can see in the brown stripes!

I have decided not to reveal the full suit til my next con on October 5/6/7. I tried the whole lot on except the gauntlets as they were wet today and I am SOOOOOOOO happy with how it looks. If you are a girl or naturally big and muscly and can get away with a Lycra suit I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing what I have done. I was so nervous trying it on but it looks SO amazing. This skin style is extremely comfortable light weight and breathable and you will not sweat much in it.

I am looking forward to the big (for me) reveal.

I still need to do a bit of bum and groin armor from the model kit which i measured up today, who knows if I will have it done by the con but I really don't care!

Looks great! The finger rings are a fantastic extra touch. Terrific update, I am impressed by both the speed and progress you have made.

Two questions:
1.) Did you make or buy your neck rings?
2.) What is the emblem on the Aussie Vader's codpiece? I cannot quite make it out (no matter how hard I squint at that dude's crotch ).

I bought the neckring from here and airbrushed it and added velcro

And that emblem I can barely see but it appears to be an anti 501st emblem lol could be wrong but it has a storm trooper in it
