QMx Mal Pistol Stand

So, I snapped up the Mal pistol Stand recently made available from the QMx Insider newsletter. Mini review...

For 30 bucks, it's a great stand, holds my Metal SidKit perfectly, nice shiny surface, great packaging, optional "engraved" metal plate.

My only gripe? It's too freaking wide to fit in the Ikea Detolf case. :unsure

Actually, the pistol is too large to fit in the Detlof, anyways. I had to turn mine at an angle.

I've had similar problems with the Detolf. It's a great display case, but I wish they had a larger size to choose from.

Will the Mal Pistol Stand be made available on their site? I could use one for my SidKit...

The Sidkit? Mine fits fine in my detolf.

Both Sidkit and Phil versions fit in the Detolf, I find it odd that the QMx stunt wouldn't (minus the stand)

That's odd. I have to turn mine at an angle to get it to fit.

BTW - Anyone with a band saw and some 1/4 inch plywood could pull off a replica of this stand in wood super easy. I can post measurements if anyone's interested.

Got my stand today. It's nice, but both clear risers have a noticeable tilt, no matter how I insert them. I'll have to glue them or something so they stand straight. Anybody else have this issue?

No real issues with mine, fits the phillips model real nice also may just see if I can order a 2nd.

Found it strange that it came packed in that triangualar shipping box.

I made my own acrylic stand to hold 2 (firefly and serenity versions) specifically to fit neatly into a detolf
