The Expanse - MCRN pistol - Machined aluminium kits, WIP thread

Hi there,
this morning, I disassembled the whole pistol to see if there was a good way to secure the parts on it.
I have now added an M3 screw in the front and the added part is perfectly secure.
This is not really something I can offer in the kit as it requires to drill the pistol slide and idealy disassemble it for that, so that would be too complicated for my customers. The best will be to use the M2.5 screw in the back because the screw is mandatory and add strong double sided tape in the front. that will still be very secure and much easier.

of course I ended up loosing the small spring in the back of the gun as it was jumping all the time.

here are some final photos with the added front barrel, the back barrel correctly positioned this time. And the two screw holes added on the top of the part.

yes, the pistol is still functional. Here is a video if the updload works. carefull about the sound when the pistol fires.

I hope you guys like it! it feels a bit lonely in this thread looks like the interest is pretty low as someone already mentioned to me.Worst case scenario, I just spent 4 days working on a really cool prop for me I guess. This never happens as I don't have the time, so that's already something ahah
I will open the interest thread tomorrow I think, I have ran out of time today as I need to leave.

Thar looks amazing! You did a fantastic job. I know I'm definitely interested. I have an airsoft pistol that has been waiting for a couple of years for that exact part to transform it into a proper MCRN prop.

Thank you very much, I'm also very happy that I managed to do this part correctly. I like to challenge myself and this was definitely a hard one. But I'm really excited about the result, it looks amazing and the pistol feels great in hand

Hi there, The big interest here is often for Star Wars stuff and this is the core of what I normally offer, however, i love a lot of other things and I like to work on those when possible :-) So lets try something other than Star Wars for once and see if we can make it happen, i'm counting on...

sorry, there was a previous offering with resin and an aluminium barrel, so there is no reason for me to offer this. I'm only going to do full aluminium kits.
