Hi all, I'm looking to make a mask from the game 'Pyre'. Here are some reference images - I'm going to be making the simple 'human' mask (two, actually).

It looks like it should be reasonably simple but I've never really worked with anything similar and wondered what people would recommend for constructing it? Should I use plaster of paris? Papier mache? Foam and card? I'd rather not have to go the trouble of making a life cast of my head but if this is going to be the best way, I can give it a try.
A few pointers on getting started would be amazing. I have a lot of 'standard' tools for cosplay and prop-making like a dremel, heat gun, wood burner etc. so hopefully I can pull something useful together.
Any tips on making sure it'll fit me when it's done would also be greatly appreciated.
