hey guys just thought i would share some pictures of my various helmets makes and costumes in general

here i have a my pepakura iron man and war machine helmets
my iron man mark V helmet
sub-zero mask
war machine
freddy krueger glove(2010)

what i dont have here is...........
pepakura war machine chest
recon helmet(halo)(not made by me but meh )
saw knife trap(in progress)
iron man extremis(comic version)
deadpool mask
deadpool bullet-proof vest(custom design)
wolverine claw

im open to any criticism and advice on how to make my things better.....or how to make things in general

You are getting quite a collection of stuff there punky. I like that subzero mask too. Haven't saw one of those before. Good job on everything.

one tip would be to resin and bondo up those peps and they will look very nice!

yeah.....bondo is hard to come by in ireland and resin is a little pricey cos im only in my 2nd year of high school so ill have to get a job this summer or sell some masks

if you can get some poly urethane spray, seal your pep with that and work in white glue in thin layers and let dry, if you really can find resin or bondo.

An autobody shop would know where to get resin or bondo if its a "location" issue.

It doesn't have to be "Bondo" brand ... You're after Polyester Body Filler aka "Bog". Here in Aus if I ask for "Bondo" the guy behind the counter smiles and sells you a 500g can imported directly from the States for AUS$40 - $50. If I ask for "body filler" or "bog" the same sized can, in a local brand costs AUS$15...

At the end of the day "Bondo" is just Polyester Resin (30-40%), Talc (50-60%) and Microballoons (10-15%)... These are just my guess at the proportions but the Wikipedia entry on Bondo actually has a the "formula" if you want to look it up.

Having said that, there are lots of ways to reinforce you pep - Resin and Bondo is just the most popular. Look up "Hot Glue Method" for starters there's a good tut on the 405th and Paper mache actually works quite well. A guy did a really good paper mache Iron Man over at TDH. thanks alot for the help.....im gunna make a quick dr doom mask and paper mache it........see how it turns out.... ill keep you guys posted.....
