Punisher: War Zone - Frank's vest

Since I love this flick I am going to want a prop from it, and the natural thing is his vest. Anyone recognize the maker? The high collar reminds me of a riot or bomb disposal vest more then anything else.:love

the vest is more of a basic swat vest, my vest i used is very similiar and has a high collor but its a preacher collar, it has the shoudler pads abd everything, i dont think it would be very hard to remake it... and i really love the design, i think it is more of a real world costume... ill post some pics when i pull it out of my bag..

Its definately a plate carring MOLLE vest. looks like it may or may not have a groin protector attachment.

ok here ya go... ive attachecd my own police equipment...
here is the regular under uniform vest... its small and meant to be conceled...

heres the riot gear, not meant to be bullet protective...

heres my tactical vest, it comes up and around but i took the neck piece off and this has a built in chest pistol holster...

heres the full body thin dragon style armor,

now the neck and shoulders are an insert, VERY similar to a mock turtle neck, the ones online are meant to be close to the neck for movement and can be made from a stiff material and the snaps can be added...

About as off-the-shelf close as you can get. I've got one but haven't modified it yet for the P's vest.

Loved the movie and I am a long time fan of the character(22 years and counting), nice to know I am not the only one wanting a replica of the vest. I have a friend trying to replicate it now...will post pics when it is done.

It's not an off the shelf MOLLE vest, but has a few things like a MOLLE on it. My understanding is this was custom made for the film, so I don't think you're going to find a match as a found item. That said, I have no doubt somebody here can make this.

yeah it has to be custom, my friend is starting with a very basic airsoft vest and going from there...I have provided her with a tons of pics so I am hoping she can get it pretty close. Does anyone have good shots of the back of the vest? That is the part of the vest I have not been able to document well. Even in the film it is hard to see all the details.

I'm very interested in seeing the vest as well ChicagoVader. I would like to duplicate this look to re-do my Punisher costume....
Adding the Holsters and such would be the easy part its just getting the vest all all the modular clips and snaps seems to be my issue. Starting with that vest cheech could be good if you could remove the pouches on the front. I really wanna get this done so again I would very much like to see how the vest comes out.

I found this pic which I think shows the vest from a wider view..still tough to find a shot of the back of the vest...

He gets shot in the back twice in the film, and they show the back of the armor pretty clearly both times.

Cool. The only thing I really remember seeing on the backside of the vest during the movie was a single line of the MOLLE attachment loops across the shoulder blades, where as there's a bunch of those strips on the front side. Once the DVD comes out, there's more ability to pause shots needed like that for reference.:lol
