Just added new T-shirt reference pic to the archived prop Runner Pulp Fiction thread.

I didn't even know it was archived. :p First the Deckard lamp thread, not this... I'm not worthy. :$

I actually took some good screen caps of Jules' tee that shows the graphics better - shall I post them here so they can be added?

I can't tell you where to find Jules' shirt, but I CAN tell you it's probably a custom based on a VERY old cartoon character called "Krazy Kat" (which is the character being nailed by the brick). Maybe that will help.

Thanks, Funky. That was already pointed out in the newly archived thread, and I appreciate that you can confirm it. :) Here are some good close-ups of the shirt:

Rick: since the search continues for this shirt and other items, such as Jules' "J" gold necklace and bracelet, Vincent's earring, Marsallus Wallace's bandaid :D, etc., do you think it's perhaps premature to archive the thread? I'd argue that the search for the Deckard lamps is also ongoing, so what's a person to do if he or she makes a new prop discovery in either movie? It just strikes me a bit odd that a discovery-rich thread like Nick Daring's "Blade Runner: A Web of Props" thread hasn't been archived yet but my lamp thread has. Does the staff currently have a policy of attaching addendums to archived threads, and if not, could such a policy be initiated? I see archiving in perhaps a different light: the purpose should be to ensure the threads don't fall off the deep end, but I can't think of a reason that they shouldn't remain open to new contributions. After all, collecting and updating prop information in the RPF is an ever-evolving process.

Would be grateful for your thoughts and the rest of the staff's. :)

Thanks,

- Gabe

Probably my fault for the archiving early. Twofold as I brought them to Yodaman's attention and then I keep posting to them. :D

Yodaman and I both want to be able to preserve stuff before it falls off into the sea of internet debris. It's great to have the forum size and capability to archive threads and keep all the photo ref intact.
lemme see what is best to do.

Not sure on Jules shirt but I recognized Tarantino's when I first saw the movie.
From IMDB:

Jimmy (Quentin Tarantino) is wearing a t-shirt bearing the logo of "Orbit", a local alternative newspaper in Metro Detroit, for which Tarantino did an interview when he was promoting Reservoir Dogs (1992).

Orbit is long gone as far as I know, but I'm in the suburbs now. When Pulp Fiction came out I was living in downtown Detroit going to college. Picked up Orbit all the time.

I've got a book collection of Krazy Kay/Ignatz strips. I'll dig it out later and see if the Pulp Fiction image is in the book...

Sorry Funky.. No disrespect intended buddy.. :)

If you don't get the PM forwarded to you by one of the other two fine gentleman I'll send it your way when I get home tonight. Thanks everyone. :):thumbsup

Now can anyone blame me for initially thinking it was a black chick with a massive afro? :lol

And as for George Washington, check it out:

There are some excellent close ups of Jackson shirt at the end of the movie.
Right were Jackson is getting up from the table to leave the restaurant.

Just need someone with screen cap capabilities to post some pics.

Robert, check out the thread in the link below for the pics you're talking about - I posted there because this thread was temporarily archived and I asked Rick to reinstate it because our work here isn't quite done. :D Hopefully Rick will merge it with this one.

The wallet, by the way, is the one I posted earlier and which member Deric recommended on page 1:

http://www.badmofowallets.com/buy.html

The seller is now giving away a BMF Zippo lighter with each wallet - both on his homepage and his eBay auctions. I MISSED OUT... :cry

His eBay name is: badmofowallets-com, or just do a search for Pulp Fiction wallet. Keep in mind he also sells the dark stained version, but I dont think it has the 2-sided window fold. Best to ask in advance. :)

I think I may end up buying a second one for everyday use and once it's nice and distressed, I'll swap it out for the first one and display the weathered one in a shadow box with all your paper props laid out plus $1500 in fake bills. :D Maybe I'll even use glove oil to break it in, lol.

So what, besides' Jules' T-shirt, should we look for? How about his "J" gold bling chain and bracelet? the Epi syringe Vincent used on Mia? How about an accurate Gimp mask, collar, chain, and the gag ball used on Butch and Marsellus? :lol I'm SERIOUS. :lol

It's not a prop, but it's at least a good reference:

Gabe-
There is a better close up of the shirt just as he is leaving the dinner with Travolta.

This is the best shot I could grab - in the rest of the scene Jules is either moving around and the freezes are blury, or he's standing in a way that the sunlight casts shadows across the shirt...

I believe that's a police officer character with a billy club standing behind the brick-throwing mouse, but since I'm not familiar with the strip, I hope someone who is can peg this particular cartoon, since my Google searches have so far come up empty. :( Here are the 3 characters portrayed in this scene:
