i just watched Prospect for the first time this weekend, and i have hard time believing prop folks aren't more into it. i know there are a couple threads here on the movie.

the behind the scenes they did is pretty cool.

the sling bag cee carries is one of my favourite bits. something i plan on making.

anyone else a recent viewer?

I came across this movie back in 2019 and I've been a huge fan ever since. It's one of my favorite sci-fi movies. I'm also shocked it doesn't get much attention on here — the production design and prop work is impeccable. I've made a couple props already and have Ezra's pistol and Cee's watch in the works.

If you're curious what the creators are up to now, they're hard at work developing a brand new universe called The Fringe. It's very much a spiritual successor to Prospect but much larger in scope. They've been worldbuilding with the community for about 2 years, giving people the opportunity to contribute ideas, props, designs, etc into the canon before the movie even happens. Super talented & creative folks involved. It's pretty wicked

that watch is great.

i shared this with the maker space i am part of. they started to make films and build props. hope it will give them some ideas.
