The basic dimensions are a challenge for fan made items unless there is a way to take measurements of a known accurate source or scale off another known source. I would hate to have spent much money on one that is signifantly the wrong size. There is at least one on etsy that was resized to be a closer match.

I'd love a Kylo lightsaber, but that price just kills it for me. & you think some paint flaked off?! Holy ****!!! Nope.
I really wanted the Darth Vader melted helmet. I loved the scene from the movie. Now that I have seen it all angles of it, it reminds me of the Elephant Man (No disrespect to Joseph Merrick intended). The real question is it worth $4,000? I have ordered several other Prop Shop items, but I am still on the fence on the Darth Vader helmet. I am sure now that the Prop Shop Kylo Ren saber is out, there will be plenty of fan made ones that are dead on and for a cheaper price. I will be honest with everyone and say that I do not think the quality of the Kylo Ren is any better than Korbanth's or any of the other sabers I know the RPF members can produce. It can be made just as good with the exact measurements now.

I want to get Kylo and Rey's lightsabers. They will be the crown jewels of my collection.I like your style! Congrats on the purchase. I have a Melted Vader (not propshop) and it's amazing. I keep it on my desk at work and everyone loves it

I just hope they are worth the price. The Kylo saber is nice, but seriously, there are guys on this board that can make it 100% accurate for under $1000. I miss the days of MR when you got decent props under $700 that a lot more people could afford. This really is a MR level prop so it should be selling for under $1,000 but Disney knows they can sell them for three times that price. And I bought them too. Doh! -- Homer Simpson.

Man I remember when MR COULDN'T sell the Falcon so they started reducing it to like $800 bucks. Back then people thought that was pricey lol If only I had the cash back then.
And yea it would be nice if someone would take over for EFX in the "mid-level" replica items being nice and more affordable.
