I think I am going to let someone on here be a "sacrificial lamb" and wait to see a full build thread on this one. I am actually excited to see this kit though!

I so desperately want to build each of the major "Alien Universe" ships, each to scale, as a display for my man cave bar...

To see the Nostromo, Sulaco, Betty, and Prometheus all to scale with the "Derelect"/Engineer's Transport is, in my mind the ultimate modeling project.

I see this Fantastic Plastic model as a great way to see a hands on interpretation of the ship and decide is a scratch build of such magnitude is even feasible.

The only thing bad I've ever gotten from Fantastic Plastic is sticker shock. But it's all worth it in the end.

Sticker shock I can handle- that is what booze is for. I am truly curious to see the quality of the model.

I have just received an email from Allen from Fantastic Plastic Models. He has confirmed to me that the scale will be 1/500. No price at this stage. The length of Prometheus is 170m so that would make the kit 34cm if I calculated right. I am happy with this scale as it will display nicely with the Halcyon Nostromo, APC, Narcissus and Sulaco as well as the Aoshima dropship. All different scales of course but similar size kits.

I just got an email update regarding the Prometheus. For those that don't receive the newsletter this is what it said;

Prometheus Update Yes, we still have the 1:500 Prometheus in development. Parts have been printed and we're cleaning them up for production as we speak. We hope to get the kit into casting next month and have it ready for purchase in late summer. You can still reserve a copy by emailing us at FantasticPlast@aol.com.
