Prometheus helmet and armor....should I?

Okay. Starting the research of this. Is this already in the works or should I take a stab at it too....
Sorry have been real busy and haven't been keeping up.

Richie and I have been talking about this one. We feel it falls in line with the other ALIEN suit we did so what the heck. But didn't want to be like the Fourth person working on the same project.
But alway good to share resources to get the best end results as the RPF members as a group contributed a lot to the making on the Nostromo AES suit come to be.
Already asked Danita if she would start looking at the soft parts. She said " Are you kidding?.... Okay". As you can tell she was very excited about the idea. LOL

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the THREE types of suit we see... from left, the "normal" version with blue clothy looking covering and the larger chest plate (this type is usually worn by the men, but Shaw wears it at times as well)

Then we have the "orange tubes" version, with an undersuit that looks more spandexy or wet-suity... seems to have a printed pattern on it, ala the Star Trek uniforms or the Spiderman and other superhero suits these days....

And lastly a version of the orange tubes suit, but with BLUE tubes!

There's really only two. I was looking for the blue and I think that photo or screen shot was just done up that way. She clearly had the orange tubing suit during the engineer encounter scene, so the blue was never actually in the film.

And come to think of it there's still ANOTHER type of suit! The airlock crew wear a ribbed blue suit, kind of reminiscent of the 2001 space odyssey suit. This suit has a giant metal hook or clamp attached to the chest.

I know the foot armor is set on top of a black ..best way to explain is basketball shorts type material, and it looks to have a little thickness like they sewed something in between the layers and then have the armor lames rivited on top. In some shots it looks like the top of the foot armor is almost just strapped on (elastic?) and moves freely from the toe and top of the ankle.

If you have the EW issue, you can see it better but it's one of the better shots and there's another pic where Holloway falls trying to get back to the ship and you can see a boot from someone's shoulder cam that kind of gives a 'from above' POV. (you'd have to look in the trailer stills)

Hello !

I am also working on a space suit from Prometheus.
The blue suit is almost done (with the stitches) and I am starting to work on armor pieces. I have some difficulties with the chest piece, as this is my 4th costume, and I probably won't do the helmet.

For the boots, I will use snowboard shoes that I bought 2$ in a garage sale (this kind of shoes : http://www.windwardboardshop.com/sl...re-snowboard-boots-2012-black-white_cover.jpg)

Lighting the suit and making the patches won't be something difficult as there are many reference pictures on this board.

Harder part for me is definetely the armor parts.


I am impatient to see your costumes !
