Hey there RPF :)

This is my second thread here I guess, my first thread "Project Songbird" is delayed at the moment because of money and time issues.
But Carneval is around the corner and I needed a new cosplay since I don't want to go as Master Chief again this year.
It took me long to open up this thread because when I'm not at work I'm either at the gym or working on the project so there's a lot of pictures right at the beginning :D

I won't post all of them here but for further pictures and information please visit my facebook page http://facebook.com/HalcyonProps

I'm glad of every new "like" I get :)

ENJOY ! :)

Update time !

I sprayed some rust color and black on the helmet and started working on the great knife.
2nd layer of resin is on the knife. I'll check it in an hour if it's dry and if it needs another one =)

Me next to the knife for size comparison (I'm 180cm tall)

This is what it's basically made of, styrofoam covered with cardboard.
I've made huge pieces of styrofoam earlier and although I've covered them with resin they're just too fragile for my taste so I'll give this technique a try.

And the resin covered knife next to the PH helmet :)

Hey there RPF,
Sorry for the lack of updates and posts but the last few weeks were very intense and filled with building every free minute I had.
Project Pyramid Head is complete and here's the rest of the building steps and the final product. Enjoy !

I've had to make a whole new sword because the resin didn't cure and paint didn't stick too it too well so here's the wooden sword I've made (weighs about 10-15 kg)

And here the painted version.
The Wooden Board was an old board I got for free and had some woodworm holes in so I filled the really small holes with a mix of wood glue and sawdust and brushed the bigger ones with anthracite grey paint and rust colour paint.

Next was the apron.
It's actually not a real apron it's more a leather skirt but w/e.
After I've sewn both sides together I mixed up brown, black and red acrylic paint and spread it all over the coat with my bare hands.
After giving it some drying time I wiped off the remaining wet paint and set accents with fake blood and fold the apron several times to achieve those sort of lines it has all over it and finished it with several layers of clear coat.

To hide the Levi's branded belt buckle I decided to make my own belt buckle, this was one of the easier parts.
I sketched the "Halo of the sun" symbols on a 2mm foam sheet and then used a knife to cut those drawings.
After that I used a heat gun on it so the cut's in the foam get wider and reveal the symbols.
Then I cut out a circle the same size out of a product called "hobby-glas" It's just polystyrol I think and is pretty solid and glued the symbol on it.
The fixed it with a strap on the actual belt.

The neckbrace PH wears was made of EVA foam and some tubing I had left.

The stilts are just buckets filled with PU foam and strengthened with duct tape (So even if they crack a little here and there I won't fall)
I screwed some really old shoes on and they were good to go !

Very cool, love the work that's gone into the details of this thing. Pyramid head always creeps me out!
