problems with fan universe creations uk

OK, so the items arrived today. Not gonna take pics, but here is the overview.

COWL: It is definitly made with a lot lower grade urethane rubber than any cowl I have owned, therefore it's very light. However, it fits my head perfect with no required stretching, is very comfortable and has nostril holes. It looks very good to me.

NECK ARMOR: Again, made with the same material as the cowl. This does make it very flexible and easy to put on, although I feel they did use a surplus of mesh that is going to be needed to be cut away.

GAUNTLETS: These came out great. I know a lot of folks have complained theirs either had no mesh and/or no velcro adjustment. These have both. The rubber fins look and feel very good, too.

CAPE: I was impressed the cape came to the length that I ordered, as I had them make it shorter to fit my height and not drag on the ground. It seems very well made, and for attachment, they stitched some industrial strength velco to it to attach to your suit of choice.

I am glad to call this case CLOSED for me. I certainly will not talk about these guys at all anymore in the future, as this whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. For those of you who have yet received your items, etc....I sincerely hope that everything is worked out and you get your items or a refund. If you help bring down this awful company, I will not fault you for it...it seems they have caused far more unhappiness then anything else.
 
i ordered 8 cowls with them and get nothing. i also not live in UK. don't know how to do and who can help us.

What I don't get is why my threats of a lawsuit worked, and other people's haven't? I feel especially bad for you, Tweekknight because it's been a full year. I thought I was one of the last ones at nine months...but then again I hear about others that waited only 3 months...and a plethora of peeps who are stuck in the middle.

I have some friends in the U.K who are legitimate and honest prop makers, and may be able to give advice on this. I'll write them shortly and see what they say.
 
I have talked in length to paypal and they say that everyone who ordered thru them needs to make a complaint, to their fraud dept. call in and open a case and if enough people do it they can review there entire account and we would be able to get refunds thru paypal even though its passed the 45 days, they would take the money from the FUC bank account linked to their paypal account.

I have been able to get a name as well Anna Klepper is the name on the paypal account I believe she is out of Lewyck Scotland I have started the process of contact the local police dept to bring charges.


Thank you for your advice but what do you mean with fraud dept. ? What is that ? When I have contacted paypal they told me that there is nothing they can do because the 40 or 45 days limit is gone. Can you be so nice and give me some contact where I can contact them ? Also if anyone would like to have my case evidences I will be glad to give to you.
 
Well still no reply from FUC. I too would love to do the joint fraud claim with PayPal. So Bmoore, please please please post the PayPal fraud contact info that will take complaints this late. I would love to see this "company" go down for this nonsense. I hate that they ignore so many people, including myself. If they are reformed like a few past posts suggested, It would be nice if they would answer us. It would be nice if they posted a schedule for all that have been burned. A schedule listing when our items will be completed. They could process them in order and we would know where we stand with a time frame for out products. FUC does not seem to give a crap about this problem. I say make them pay for it. Heck, jail time and assets seized for the whole lot of them would do me just fine...so frustrating.

Couldn't agree more with you we are all in this now, it's a shame because I really wanted that Batman cowl but luckily on here there's a lot of nice people who make them and give you great detail about them. I just want to see this "company" to get the Lau treatment like in The Dark Knight
 
I ordered a Joker (Bozo) mask in November 2013 and tried repeatedly to keep in contact when they told me they were in the "final stages of manufacture" with no response. I tried a claim through Paypal, but got shoved by them due to the 45 day policy. I'd be up for joint/collective engagement if we can get it through. Contact me if anyone else is up for it. I've subscribed to the thread.
 
Why not contact trading standards, I think they would be very interested in them and I bet they haven't been paying tax;)
 
Dam I would rather have my gauntlets and cowl instead of a refund,
but I don't know how it would be possible.
 
I got suckered too. I believed in them. Even defended them. Than they burned me on the Gauntlets.

I have UD Replicas gear. And said you could not compare the two. I did indicate I had both ( I lied, sorry), I thought I was helping someone in a bad mental place.
Than FUC selling as other people. Different people but Dane names on paypal. Anna using two names. And now her music page is gone on Facebook.
I feel like a fool. I even sent Selena flowers to get better last Xmas.

My name is David and I'm the President of UD Replicas.
I've been an active member here for over a decade and have nothing but respect and gratitude for the Admins here...and the simple fact that we have a free public venue to which we can all discuss and show off our own builds, projects and yes in my case... our products.
That said...
Our goods are not costumes....we make fully functional, every day wearable leather garments. Not only, be we currently have over 5,000 customers and continue to do our job from a quality, production and delivery stand point.
We make clothing, not costumes and we do so under license by Warner Bros.

Now here's why I chose to chime into this thread...We have nothing to do with this other company. There is no relation, no association and absolutely should not be any claims by Fan Universe made about UD Replicas or our products. I'd rather not be put into a position to have to enforce that but if anyone is making claims to the contrary, then we'll be forced to take whatever reasonable action is deemed necessary to make it stop.

We've been contacted by numerous Fan Universe Creations customers asking if we'd do something to help them, which is of course none of our business - but in some cases it seems that these same customers of theirs that contacted us believed, were led to believe (or simply were confused) that Fan Universe was in some way associated to UD Replicas.

Once again, let me be clear. There is no relationship, association, partnership...none what so ever with Fan Universe - or any other 3rd party on the planet. UD Replicas is its own entity and our products are created by us, produced by us and managed entirely by us.

We've grown tremendously over the last few years, all thanks to you all and our fantastic customers that span the globe. But...I cannot and will not allow Fan Universe to 'ride our coat tails' in an effort to defraud unsuspecting buyers.
Whatever it is that Fan Universe is telling its customers regarding UD Replicas, it stops now.

Besides, we make clothing...not costumes. Sure, our goods are fun to wear at conventions and even Halloween but that doesn't change the fact that we still make Jackets, Pants and various accessories....and have been doing so for several years now.

Your items at amazing gear. I have your Batman Street Jacket, Batman presuit boots, presuit gloves (on order) Dark Knight gloves.
