I have bought up almost all the kits I need for a probe droid build, but I have a question about the Airfix Saturn V kit.
I'm told the old tooling is what is needed, but I need to know how to identify the old vs new tooling.
What is the difference? What changed? and how old is "old"?

I bought one that must be the new tooling because the cones look different than other reference I'm seeing.

Hey Duncanator,

swhite22 had mentioned elsewhere that the tooling apparently changed in 2011.
It affected the 3rd stage LEM garage, service module, and command module parts as seen here.

If you use the aforementioned timeline provided by swgeek you should be able to work out the period tooling.
