Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

This is the best i can do not much different :unsure and do you have a larger size of the i.d for printout when finished?

Thanks for this again

The logo doesn't need to be the ID. Wasn't there a big logo when he first walked into the Macmillan office?

The limiting factor for size is the photo. I can make the ID bigger, but the photo will likely be very pixelated.

That seems most accurate considering the nature of the show.

I don't have a better image of the symbol because it was a dvd pulled from vhs. :(

Thanks for the effort on this!

Russ

I was able to find this. It does not help with the red, but it made it clear "ET" was in small caps. It also appears they misspelled Virtus as "Vertus." I have only found one reference to "vertus" as being an actual word, and the source is questionable. I will contact a someone who is studying Latin to get their input.

I have this one:

But I downloaded it from somewhere. Chances are it was made by someone here. If so, they can step up & take due credit. :thumbsup

Am I the only one thinking these would go along great with all those highway signs that people have been hacking? :lol :p ;)

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

Hi again,

A long time ago I found the blue stencil of River Tam and now unable to find it again.

So, I decide to scan the picture in "The official companion" and cleaning it.

And now it is free for you.

BTW I am looking for the wanted poster in Ep 14 where we can see River and Simon...

Awesome! I scanned in that pic, but I coundn't get mine to turn out as nice. (I couldn't get the color right on mine for some reason..)

As for the Tam's wanted posted/card/what ever. Try "Whitefall" I asked him about some firefly paper props a wile back, and he said he doesn't do that sutff any more (I'm guessing because he works for QMx now) but, he did give a fee copy of the file for the Tam's wanted thingy from the last episode. I would post it, but I don't want to post Whitefall's work without his permission.

On, a firefly not. Does any one have a file more the round disks that make up the reast of the Tall card game. I have have the metal Zodiac cards, but I've been looking for quite some time for the round cards. (I know Whitefall used to do a set, but he doesn't anymore.) So, andy help would be great.

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

Does anyone have anything from Bones? Badges from either the main cast, or even a Jeffersonian visitor badge? Maybe even a nice Jeffersonian logo?

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

I heard back and have been told if it is "Vertus" it may be medieval Latin rather than classical. In medieval Latin "I" and "E" were sometimes exchanged. So what is preferred, the apparently screen accurate spelling or the classical Latin spelling?

Also, should I change the compasses around the edge from black to black outlined yellow?

Pitbull, I will do my best to rescale the Macmillan logo from the ID caps then. Thanks for checking for a better logo.

edit: new id uploaded.

Hmm, I can only see one typo in there - virul for viral. As an English major, I'm going to kick myself over any others.

That and "haemorraging"... That's why I mentioned "misspellings and alternative spellings". ;) Either way, I recreated it word for word.

Here's a clearer pic of him from back then. Couldn't find one without an autograph.

I never trust my stuff with i.d's badges ect so i took a crack at the photo.I tried to find a screen grab of hanks in the movie with the same hair style and this was the best i can do

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

Looks good, I would put either a light blue or off white background behind hanks. it would make it look more real. even add a shadow to complete the illusion.

Hi Darth Brass,

in the attached files are two pics from one of the ID Cards. The words on the back are by me, because the screenshot was readable.

I sent these pics to an online photostore to get it developed on Kodak Royal paper, that's the reason for the thick frame around it.

Enjoy

Awesome! Did you construct the front as well, or is it a screenshot?

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

Thanks Darth Brass,

in the attached file is my source for this ID card. The front is made my me with CorelDraw 12. The Jeffersonian Logo is taken from a wallpaper.

So long

I almost think the "black outlined yellow" on the border would be more accurate.

Here's a clearer picture of Allison Smith from "Spy Games." The blurry picture looked out of place on the ID. I know it's a more casual picture, but the hair and face look the same, so someone might be able to manipulate a purple suit onto the picture.
