Predators - Royce Costume

... I think I see the mold seam runnig trough the rear part of the knife on the first pic. However, the dent, in different shapes, is seen almost in every take on the movie.....

You never give 'The Talent' real weapons if you can avoid it. Guns and knives are rubber most of the time.

I'm amazed at big budget movies cheaping out on props lately. More money for the producers I guess.

So Terryr, that means that our costume replica is less authentic if we display it with the real Tops 107C than with a rubber one???:confused

Just a note. I recently had a chance to talk to the armorer and real pistols were used for all the actors (not saying there might not have been rubber copies made as well...) and they were somewhat disappoint disappointed that almost no one actually used the pistols in the film.

I also believe that when Royce puts his TOPS knife out of the scabbard, that one is a real TOPS... although I would think for most of the rest of the movie it is rubber.

The Crain knife is clearly rubber for much of the movie.

So I know this isn't screen accurate, but in the process of assembling my Royce gear, I decided to make a more "real life" bracelet similar to the one worn in the film. This is a functional survival bracelet I made with coyote paracord. I got my girlfriend to sit down and make some with me after buying some buckles and 100' of cord :D

We made a few of them (as you can see) until I was finally happy with one. I think I'm going to give the others to some family members for Christmas. I'll see if I can post some pics of my Royce gear once I get a couple more pieces. This thread was very inspirational.

Thanks, Art! I'm still wearing the one I made for myself. I almost made the mistake of buying one of these from LA Police Gear for nearly $25 plus shipping. The work involved is well worth the sacrifice considering the amount of money saved by just getting the materials.

Can you guys help me out? I'm pretty much a newb to Predator and Aliens collecting, but I've been collecting Horror Props for years! I'm trying to acquire a replica AA12 for a project, but havent had any luck! I tried contacting MorganThirteen, but never got a reply. Can someone drop me a line or help me figure out where to get one? I've tried sculpting my own several times, but it never comes out right. Thanks.

May be I didn´t explain it properly, I will never have it because Iam not able to afford the screen used one and I see no way to make an exact replica!!:)

Wow, I stumbled upon this thread, asked for help, got some info, and a WHOLE LOT of confusion followed, haha. Guys, trust me, MorganThirteen IS the guy to go to if you want a perfectly accurate replica of an AA12 without breaking the bank!

It has been a while since I have posted here, but I wanted to post up and show off my new AA-12 from Morgan13. I wasn't happy with the last wrap so we did it again and I am MUCH happier this time (Shawn did an absolutely amazing job on lining the wrap up so it matches my screen used gun). Even with all of this work, I managed to over weather it a bit and the color is still a little off. :( Still, I am incredibly happy with this one and am ready to move on to recreating the aluminum rail on the front that holds the surefire light.

If you are thinking of getting an AA-12, Shawn is definitely the guy to talk to as the gun is nothing less than amazing!
