I used them to ride my bike everyday and the palms turned dark gray alone!! Unfortunately I had to wash them...
By the way Art, do the Giros you purchased have the "GIRO" on the index finger?

It´s interesting how close is the pattern on the scabbard on your previous post and the toy and what can be barely seen on this crop.

They don't actually... and I am NOT happy about that fact... and actually, I am still not 100% sure we have the right glove. I have another on order and we will see when it comes in.
 
In this take, done some time after the principal shooting had finished, the gloves seem not to have the GIRO on the index finger.

On other pictures it seems they tried to remove the rubber letters.
 
I wrote Jack Crain about the sheath... lets see what he says... who knows, we might be able to get him to sell a sheath directly, although he also might just ignore us...
 
Very interesting... mine didn't come with them and you can see them in a LOT of the shots, so I don't know what happened there.
 
Hemp bracelet came in today from the link augofett posted:

I got it 7.5" so it fits my wrist loosely, natural in color, and with the tie ends. I think it is perfect for this project! Thinking I might should have gone with 7" (got tiny wrists) but overall, I couldn't be much happier! The shipping was fast as well!

So, I got in my Rotcho 4537 Lightweight Shemagh... I had previously bought the 8537 standard Shemagh and felt when rolled up it was much too thick to work as Royce's bandanna. Well, the 4537 really isn't that much different. While it is a slightly looser weave, when rolled up to make a triangular bandanna like we see Royce wearing, it is still WAY too thick to be reasonable. So, I went back and looked at screencaps from the movie (see attached photos). In both photos from VERY different points in the movie, we are seeing the EXACT same small section of the shemagh, which is really just one corner of the overall piece. I no longer believe the full shemagh was used but instead Royce's bandanna is simply a small section of the shemagh. While I hate chopping mine up, it is just a $10 item so if I get it wrong, we can do it again, but I wanted to point it out and get thoughts and opinions. Because the section seen is a corner, you could get at least two and possibly 4 bandannas from one shemagh...

Art, I had the same thoughts as you do. First I thought they folded the bandana in a triangle, cut one of them and then rolled it. Then you convinced me that in some takes at least there was a lighter version of the shemagh. But now that does not seem the case since there is not really big difference between the two shemaghs. In some takes the shemagh seems heavy, so may be they used it as it is, folded it in a triangle, then continued to fold it until it finishes with the small triangle we always see on the front, and may be they ironed it (sorry, I don´t know if this is the correct term). Here are behind the scenes pictures, one of Royce without the vest, that show how it is folded. In the first one the shemagh seems thick, on the others doesn´t.

A shemagh is a big piece of cloth. I just tried wrapping a womans scarf like that and it has to around the neck 3 times, and covers the entire neck. The pics only seem to go once, like a hankie.

The crew might have cut one up, or made several from one.
 
Yup. I just went ahead and cut mine and it is PERFECT.

First, I cut it in half, then cut about another 3-4" off that and took the resulting triangle and rolled it down about three times to get something that has the same look as what Royce has. I bought two shemaghs so I think what I am going to do is roll up and tack two of these and put them in the junkyard and then do my final one for myself.

I'll take one off your hands Art since I agree. No way that it was full size since even tightrolling mine, it's waay too thick. PM me price if'n ya want. Now to order the gloves.

Also agree on the sheath on a rewatch, what appears to be dirt could actually be this sorta Marpat/woodland hydrid looking camo.

So are you going to Royce fight us Predators at Dragon Con this year, Art? ;)
