It looks like Mr Black isn't getting the welcome we thought. More people hate the fact that the ridges on the crown are gone...yes thats a pretty big characteristic, but I want to take this time to remind everyone that we have to see this new "Berzerker" in action on the big screen BEFORE passing judgement.
We knew that the design would change, but at the same time still remain in the same Predator species. The change is a little on the drastic side lol, but its not all bad. In fact he looks freaking downright scary and demonic - which is what the Predator reminds me of.
PLUS we get to see some Bad Blood action - something that I've been dreaming of since seeing it in the Dark Horse comics. That will be bad ass in itself!!! GIGGITY!!
The boney plates on Mr Black's head are very much inspired by Narins designs - and that is a GOOD thing! Narin has taken the Predator in his own direction and still kept it Predator. Look at the face that Narin sculpts - the Pred bares his teeth and looks freaky! I think they also took some influence from Joe Dunaway's paintups...look at the different color schemes and patterns on Mr Black - outstanding!
Anywho, my initial reaction to Mr Black was on the fence, but I'm willing to put any negativity on the back burner until I see the movie. I'm still in shock that ALL those pictures got released/leaked yesterday. Either its a huge marketing ploy, or someone's job is at stake. Part of me wishes I didn't see those pics, but at the same time, I'm friggin excited for the movie now!!!
